Difficult to use.
This board is the right size for washing under garments and baby clothes. Mine is sturdy unlike some other reviewers. The issue is that it's not easy to rub the clothes back and forth over the board. I have a plastic wash board basin and the clothes glide effortlessly up and down the board. I've tried using it at different angles, in a basin, over a basin, flat in the sink. It's just not a consistent glide. But I'll keep it for emergencies.

Great for socks and small delicate clothing!
I really haven't used the washing board yet, I just received it today, but it doesn't appear to have any wood splinters or sharp edges. It looks smooth, and professionally made. I knew when I bought this it is intended for a child to practice on, but I mainly need it for socks and other delicate clothing's. So far I am pleased with my purchase!

It all depends on the fabric materials
I agreed with some reviews that sometimes it's not easy to rub up and down on this wooden board. However, I do find that it is easier to glide through the board if the fabric texture is smooth/less rugged. When I find that the fabric goes too slippery on my plastic board, I'll use this wooden one.

Too small
It’s sturdy enough but I personally probably need a larger one. This one is too small to lean on my sink and it’s not easy to use. However if it’s flat it doesn’t move as much and works well

Korean Bamboo Hand Washer, still going strong after a year of use. Small enough to use with a gallon size bucket.Because it's wood, it's always a good idea to wet both side and avoid steaming hot water. It bends towards the wet side, got myself a good size crack before understatanding how to fix it (just wet the other side).

Small
Much smaller than I expected. But I guess it gets the job done... for underwear.
