Project X Alien Adventures: Brown Book Band, Oxford Levels 9-11: Brown Book Band Mixed Pack of 12 Paperback – 9 Jan. 2014

My sons love these books - my 5 year old will sit down and read book after book (even the levels that are well passed where he is supposed to be). My 8 year old was similar and has now gone on to read everything and anything. These books have really encouraged my boys' enjoyment of reading and stretched their abilities without them even realising.They are part of a continuous series, but the beauty of that is that the child wants to progress to the harder books.To be honest I find the other review harsh - if the child loves the book then why rate it so low? Surely the point of a book for children is that the child loves it, not the adult.

My 6 year old really likes them but there is no end to the adventure. I would like each stage to have some conclusion but no, it is one story (and a very dull one) that spans the bands. He read to the end of this series - band 11 only to find it finishes on a cliffhanger and the next set costs £70+. H
