Use with the Gallagher S6 Solar Electric Fence Charger
Worked great. I used this with a Gallagher S6 Solar Electric Fence Charger to build an electric shock fence around a fruit tree to keep squirrels and rats away from the fruit. I got some great video from the security camera of squirrels being shocked away from the fruit. Worked great.

Safe and Easy to Use
Lightweight and super easy to string around your temporary fence posts. I paired with a Gallagher solar charger and so far my horses are keeping their distance. I like that if the horses go through, the camps on temp posts will pop off and this fence will come down and not cut up my horses. Its not straight wire so I think a bit more safe to use.

Don't buy junk. Buy GALLAGHER!!!!
Okay, after I got injured my garden laid fallow for three or four years and my wonderful gardening buddy put in this year that I needed to get it going again. Something about "them zipper cream peas are money in the bank!" he kept mumbling. Anyhow, after a MASSIVE garden clearing which included fire and lots and lots of digging and pulling dog fennel...the garden was cleared. But, over the last few years of neglect, abuse, and...fire, some of the five strands of polywire needed replacing. When I first put up the fence I used standard Gallagher polywire. Over the years some got damaged, etc., and needed replacing. I checked Tractor Supply and they had a "Farm Works" brand that they offered. Being as I needed "something" I bought some of the TSC polywire to patch up the bad places with. Well, in looking at the polywire this year I can see a marked difference in durability between the "Farm Works" and the Gallagher polywire. Both supposedly have 6 strands of SS wire in them. The big difference that I (as a mere mortal) could see was in the supporting plastic strands. The plastic strands in the TSC stuff was crumbling and breaking while the plastic in the 7 year old Gallagher polywire looked much, much better. I knew then that I was going back with Gallagher...big, BIG difference!!! Anyhow, I replaced three entire runs of wire and intend to replace the other two and add another, thus decreasing the spacing between wires a couple of inches. As for the old Gallagher that I'm taking off, I'm cutting out any bad sections, tying ends together and rolling it up on a plastic roll for repair/emergency use. I mean, what I'm saving is still good...I just want to get the fence back into prime shape again with the highest "shock effect" possible for the cute little Bambi's around here. ;) Go with Gallagher...you won't regret it but the deer will!!!! LOL ;)

Lasted roughly 2 years
Purchased this in 2017 for permanent electric fence line for horses. This summer it appears to begun to fail with little charge being sent through. My solid wire is able to carry full charge where this one no longer carries more than 4000v volts. Might be user error with splicing but looks like I'll be replacing the rope wire this year. Overall, while the rope is very small, I think this is a good product but will be trying other brands to compare with.

Used for something "odd" and it worked!
I like to garden but hate all the slugs. After much research, it appears a common way to keep slugs out of a raised-bed garden was by putting an electrified "fence" around it. My first attempt was using galvanized electric fence wire. It was difficult to attach (compatible metals and all that) and it didn't lay flat against the wood frame. Then I saw this and had to try it.I attached two parallel lines using insulated staples. At first I thought the wire would be too thick but it wasn't. I was able to maintain about 3/8" gap between the two lines. The wire is attached to a solar rechargeable battery so the fence works at night. There were no slugs in the garden this whole growing season! Plus I don't see any deterioration of the wire. The roll is so large, if I need to replace one of the lines there is plenty to go around (many times!). Couldn't be happier.

Love this fencing
We’ve been using this fence for a little over a year now to divide pastures and it works perfectly. It’s thin but still the livestock respects it. It’s also easy to put up
