Works well and a really good value
I recently bought a riding mower, and it's fairly loud. I'm not sure it's loud enough to do any damage to my ears, buy why take a chance? I know too many people with hearing problems and I see how difficult it can make everyday life. These things drastically reduce the noise from my mower. In an already quiet environment like a library, you'd probably be in near total silence. They're not uncomfortable, but I've never had them on for longer than about 1 1/2 hours at a time, so I can't say how comfortable they'd be wearing them longer than that.If you need hearing protection from mowers and other such things, these are highly recommended.

Comfortable noise blocking headphones for my autistic son
These headphones are comfortable for my son to wear. He even fell asleep with them on. He's sensitive to loud sounds, certain pitches, thunder and these are a life saver for us for his comfort. They fold up so they can fit in my purse to always have for a "just in case" moment. They fit his smaller head and also will fit my (grown adult) head. They are good at blocking the noise/music (my older son playing electric guitar) while still allowing you (me, when I was testing them out) to hear someone talking next to you. The voice was a little muffled but I was still able to make out what was being said. For any unavoidable loud situations, these are our go-to!

A nice reliable pair of ear defenders for autism
Appearance: The color pink is accurate to the picture shown.Size: Fits my adult head well, has expanders to fit height to size. I don’t feel like my head is being crushed as others have said, though I don’t have a wide head. Appearance wise, they look bigger than the ear defenders I typically see people wearing but I don’t mind.Ease of Use: They are very easy to fit back into a ball to carry. It takes a bit of pulling to get them to fit on the head because you have to expand the metal out of the cuffs. I was a bit surprised by the force needed but once I did it a few times it became easier.Feel: I can have these on my head all day long. The cuffs fit completely over my ears so they are extremely comfortable in that way. It does put pressure inside my ears as if I was on an airplane. It’s not majorly bothersome but takes a bit of getting used to.Sound: When I first put these over my ears, I actually started tearing up because everything got so quiet. All of the background noise just completely stopped. I can still hear people talking. I can hear sirens. I can hear overhead announcements. But it blocks out a lot of the music sounds that hurt as well as the general small repetitive noises that would make me angry like chewing or walking or people tapping, etc.Durability: I cannot say anything on this quite yet as I’ve only had them a few days, but so far they have been durable. I have taken them on a trip and they held up well with me tossing them around and dropping them. The cushion on the part that sits on my head is still in tact. The metal feels sturdy. The cushions on the ear muffs do not have any imperfections. And the pink part is a very hard plastic.Sleep quality: I actually have fallen asleep with these on and I didn’t wake up in pain at all. I was very comfortable the whole time. They are a bit bulky to get used to and lay on but once you figure out a good position, it feels nice.Overall I would recommend. This is my first pair of ear defenders so I have nothing to compare it to, but I really like these.

Works well, pretty comfortable
The ear cups seem a bit on the small side but don't pinch my ears at all. The ambient noise is reduced a lot, but not completely. Pretty solid build and they fold up nicely for storage.

Works Great
I purchased the ProCase ear muffs because I had to use an auger to weed my garden. My neighbor had contractors working on his property with an excavator and backhoe. I could hardly hear any noise. These ear muffs did a great job of providing hearing protection and reducing loud noise. The great thing about them is that they are adjustable and sized right for both adults and children.

Perfect for stopping most every decibel; needed stretching.
Absolutely stop most all sounds! I nap in a recliner with 2 little dogs and my spouse can watch tv in the same room and it doesn't bother me. BUT, my hat size is 7 and these things were really tight! I've had them around a box as suggested and they're loosening but have a way to go yet. They seal well around my ears even with over-the-ear hearing aids so I don't have to remove them. A bit large and "industrial" looking but at my age I really don't care!

Smaller and Tighter Than Expected
My 9 year old had some Dr Meter earmuffs that we got over 3 years ago, and I wanted something for an older child. I read the reviews and several people mentioned that teenagers and some adults used these, so I thought they would be a bit larger. I was very disappointed. The ear muff inner size is smaller, and they do not expand as much as the older ones we had. They are also a little bit heavier and less flexible. The two positive things about these earmuffs are that they have more cushioning and use more pressure for a tighter fit. The tighter fit makes my head hurt but my son says it blocks out more noise. I guess we are keeping these and seeing if they last. (Images: Dr Meter or left and Pro Case on right.)

Nice quality
I live in an apartment where the neighbors can get pretty noisy. I have had 3-4 different sets of "ear muffs" over the years. These ear muffs are by far the best set I've ever had and have had significant noise reduction. Also you can't beat the price at $10.
