I'm writing this from a female point and hope it helps as hair loss is such an emotive subject. I have been using these products daily for six months for thinning hair over the crown of my head which I suspect is due to genetics. Although I have seen a few baby hairs sprout along the front hairline, since using the products, nothing has halted the continued thinning on the crown which is where I would have liked to have seen a significant result. With every Nioxin wash and conditioner I seem to lose about 10-15 apparently healthy looking hair and experts say that it's normal to lose that many.However, when there isn't that much to spare it's quite disconcerting to lose any ! I can't see any ingredients listed on the shampoo or conditioner , however, they're sold as anti DHT products. One of the possible causes in genetic thinning/hair loss is due to increased DHT (Dihydrotestosterone ) which is an enzyme and by-product of testosterone ( I'm putting this very simply) The hair follicle's sensitivity to DHT causes the follicles to miniaturise (shrink), resulting in a shorter lifespan and decreased production of hair. Therefore, I have now turned to a Trichologist for expert help with my thinning crown ! Whilst using both products I was very happy with the condition of my hair as they left my hair soft , fuller and very manageable. Although I shall continue with the Nioxin conditioner but I'm now switching to try another shampoo which is Sulphate Sulfate Free as this chemical may be too harsh . Sulphates are used to increase the lathering up and I'd be happy with much less lather. A little of both products goes a long long way especially the shampoo which lathers up to quite a bit, unnecessarily. In a nutshell, using the products will keep your hair in a great physical condition and fine hairs may probably sprout along the hairline in time, however, for genetic hair loss the hair on the crown is much more stubborn to re-grow and will require a DHT inhibitor ( with Minoxidil) and laser hair therapy which is what I'm on now. Too early to comment on the advanced intervention.

Brilliant product for fine tinted hair expensive but worth it use at every wash

This works. I’ve had really bad hair loss since having my daughter and this has slowed my hair fall down. Smells amazing too.

Have used this for almost 3 months and no sign of difference on my hair, perhaps I have to carry on using it for much long to see the beginning of the results, but as it is super expensive, I don’t think I will carry on.

Delivered as notified & expected. They arrived without boxes, & bottles slightly different to the Nioxin Hair Treatment set that I bought in January. 1st photo new bottles of Nioxin Shampoo & Conditioner - 2nd photo 1st bottles of Nioxin Hair Treatment set bought. Both noted the same treatment & manufactured in Mexico. I am sure they are the genuine articles. I can’t comment on how effective the Nioxin Hair Treatment is on my own hair - I have severe hair loss & haven’t as yet, seen any benefit. I don’t wash my hair that often & maybe this is the reason why! Nevertheless, I am happy with my purchase.
