Glad I bought this
I bought this barre to practice ballet. It is very easy to put together. It's mostly done, you just loosen screws, fit the bars together, and tighten them. I do wish there were some kind of markings on it so that you know the bar is at an even height on both sides, but it's not a major issue. I just used my tape measure. It adjusts easily, is very lightweight, and if you need to take it apart to put it away for a while, you don't have to worry you won't get it back together. I am not good with putting things together so if it was pretty easy for me...you get it. Anyway, it feels sturdy but I have yet to really use it hardcore. Cant say I think it is stable enough to do things like Callanetics where you are on the floor with your arms above you holding onto the bar and pulling downward. No, I think this is strictly a ballet barre. In ballet you should not be gripping, pulling or pushing on it for dear life anyway, just holding it as you would a friend's hands. So it certainly serves its purpose. I also like that it has a 5 year warranty and was not too expensive. I would recommend this. If you need something rock solid to use other than ballet, I probably would not buy this one. However, I don't mean to imply it is weak. I'm a normal sized adult woman and It holds up my leg when I stretch on it and I feel it is secure.

Works well for ballet at home.
I bought this to use at home for ballet outside of class. It's easy to assemble and works as advertised. Just wish it had a more sturdy base (wobbles when I use it for stretching), but the upside is that it's extremely light weight and portable. I also like having the ability to adjust the height instead of having one with the height fixed.

It works but its expensive
The Vita Vibe - Prodigy Portable Single Barre - Freestanding Stretch/Dance Bar - Made in The USA 4 FT - 5 FT is an overpriced piece of plastic. If you are handy you can go online an watch a video on how to make your own. However, if you have the money and don't have the time or know how and want a "finished" product then this a good brand. I would have given it a four star rating but I took off one star for price.

Decent sturdiness, small defect
We use these barres at my studio. They are plenty sturdy for advanced dancers that are just using for balance help or barre work/stretching. I do not recommend any portable barre for younger dancers that are going to hang all their weight on the barres... they will flip over. My barre arrived on time and was easy to assemble. I have no issue with the barre sliding down as long as you tighten the screws enough. The only downside was that the main center barre has paint missing on one area. Luckily I was able to face this portion down so it isn't noticeable, but a little disappointing for the price paid. Overall, good quality.

Not as described in the video
Not as firm as described in the Video. It’s ok just put your leg on it. But when you start to stretch, it starts to wobbling.

Not real impressed.
I purchased this item because I didn't want to spend a lot of moneyon an exercise barre. I don't really do ballet and for just that itmight be very good. I did not find this barre sturdy enough to use itfor exercising. I will probably just mount a sturdy bar on the walllike I used before.

Oh yeah this is great!
This was my best Xmas present to myself. I've transformed my salon as my dance/worik-out room and the barre is perfect. The feet fit right on wither side of my fireplace so it leaves a lot of the room open and I find it sturdy enough if you don't pull on it (such as trying to lift yourself up by pulling on it instead of using leg muscles). The length is good and it was a snap to put together, the horizontal bar can be raised up or down so it can be adjusted to your height. I LOVE it. I can do a quick work-out with it which is a good alternative to a floor work out. Well worth the price. Of all the exercise equipment I've bought over the years this is the ONLY one I've used and not regretted buying.

Changing my review
Expectations were not right on my end, but ultimately this is a good piece of equipment for the cost & purpose. Definitely not good for full weight-bearing, & you do have to work at getting it just right so it doesn't fall over. The only real complaint is that you have to go online for instructions (if you need them). I'm just old enough to prefer old-fashioned paper so that I don't have to add several steps to the process by scanning, logging on, etc. Other than that I'm excited to have this so I can do my amateur workouts at home.

Daughter Loves it!
GREAT for at home studio - which in our case is a spot in the basement! Easy to put together and works well. Thank goodness for this as it greatly helps with those Zoom classes! Buy with confidence.

Great product
Perfect for ballet dancers, my daughter is using this at home during this pandemic with online classes. Great product, very expensive though, but it's worth it.

Missing screws and washers
The instruction sheet indicated there should be nine screws and washers plus a spare set, it only came with 8 sets, so I am missing two sets. I wrote to the manufacturer and they replied you only need eight and it was a misprint. I doubt it was a misprint and am not happy with the customer service. They should have sent the missing items to their customer if they missed them in packaging.

Perfect for it's intended use
I bought this barre for myself for Christmas so I could work on exercises for my upcoming RAD exams. For it's intended use (ballet, not "barre" or pilates classes), it's perfect. It was easy to set up, and easy to adjust when I wanted to put it in the corner (by adjusting the feet so they turned in). It also helps with ballet posture because if you use it as a crutch (like I noticed I tend to for developpes) too much it will tip over towards you.
