Rare * Monster Loquat fruits * Eriobotrya japonica tanaka * Giant fruit TANAKA LOQUAT variety *3 fresh seeds /pack SEEDS STOCK IS LIMITED AND AVAILABLE FOR SHORT TIME Please buy them now if you are interested into the variety , once the stock is sold new seeds will be available only next year ,in 2016. Very well resistance to transport ,seeds and plants both arrived always in perfect condition all over USA. Tanaka is characterized by a beautiful color, remarkable size, firm flesh of rich color, agreeable perfume, and little acidity. The proportion of flesh to seeds is large . This loquat owes to the consistence of its flesh unusual keeping quality, - -it can be handled without turning black. Left for a week it wrinkles and dries turning even sweeter but does not rot. Tanaka is vigorous, the leaf a little narrower than in other loquats. The tree is productive, one of the best loquat fruit varieties ever ! Heavenly Fragrant flowers ! Review: Do Not Buy These Seeds - These seeds are banned from import to the US. Please do not buy them. This company/product does not meet the guidelines of the USDA. My seeds were confiscated. I received 4 seeds that look like they come from quite a small loquat
I received 4 seeds that look like they come from quite a small loquat. I know that Tanaka loquat has large fruits and therefore the seeds should be adequate size. These were not. So they are either not from Tanaka or from a fruit that hasn't ripened. If it is the latter, then the seeds will not sprout and I will post additional feedback. If they are from a ripe fruit, then will have to wait for 8 years to see what becomes of it. Either way, when you are buying seeds or even saplings from an unknown sourse, it is a gamble. Bought from a seller mihaela nicolae Update: 5/11/20 Out four seeds all sprouted. I planted them into 3.5 gal pots. One sapling died early. Another one died 5 months after. I still have two left. One of them is underdeveloped. And finally the last one is a nice sized seedling. Just transplanted it to a larger 7 gal pot. Topped it to branch it out. Will post an update if it survives and fruits.
