Great for coloring frosting
This food coloring was great for coloring frosting. I choose to not make it bright orange but could have easily. It is easy to mix.

a "TRUE Blue" . Don't judge by that pale blue sticker in the picture, okay!!! You're getting real vibrant Blue. I've used it on sugar blowing and casting.

Never goes bad
I love this product! It never goes bad, it's easy to mix colors to create any combination under the sun and the colors hold true, unlike liquid food colorings.

Need to use a lot to get color!
It takes a lot to get color! I used powdered food coloring in France to make macarons, and the tiniest bit would make a bright blue color. I had to use two full teaspoons of this, and it's still a very pale blue. It's a pretty enough color - and I suppose I can use the rest to color frostings or something - but it takes too much of the product to color a batter well. Pros: good container to work from (easy to get the powder out without spilling everywhere! All powdered colors will stain, so be careful when working with them). Would probably make pretty icings. Cons: takes a lot of powder to get the color, so it won't last very long - and can potentially alter a recipe if you have to use a lot.

Overpriced
I bought the black and yellow and while the yellow worked beautifully the black didn't do what I needed as it came out with a purple look to it. I purchased these without first checking with a local cake and candy store and that was my mistake. This product is sold in local stores for a fraction of the price. And a good tip for using black, dye your white frosting chocolate brown first and then use the black. In the end I actually used gel dye and that worked perfectly. No funny taste with either the yellow or the black powders. Or the gel that I ended up using for the black for that matter. I think it's a good product but much less expensive elsewhere.
