The modus operandi of this book is making everything in one pot/tin. I was a bit concerned that this would mean boiling this, browning that and then finally chucking it all in one pot. Mercifully this hasn't been the case and most of the recipes seem to be as I had hoped. I'm pleased to report that the recipes are indeed simple to prepare and cook. We've been able to make them and supervise two small kids. They've also eaten the output which is an added bonus. Each recipe has a full size picture suggesting its appearance and again - for the most part - our attempts have at least resembled this!

So this is a shambles, Orion Books need to give both customers and the bikers themselves an explanation for this one. So I had a deja vu moment flicked back, and sure enough the same recipes appeared and handful of times! The book jumps from page 32 to page 66! (See the attached video!) I might have been unlucky it'd be good for others to confirm if their copies are the same? Will contact Amazon to confirm but it's worth everyone checking their copies especially seems as we're heading for gift season. It's a shame as on the whole there looks to be some good recipes in here, it's just some of them are duplicated and some are missing for me! UPDATED - Happy to say I've received a replacement copy today that is complete, with all content and all pages in the right order! Will delve into it in the next few days and restar the review. In the meantime I'd still suggest checking your copy closely upon receipt, I dare say mine wasn't the only misbound copy. UPDATE 2 - Happy to say the content is good, usual bikers fare which can't be complained about so have revised the star rating taking into consideration the printers gaff.

Awesome Books are nothing short of excellent! Immaculate condition and extremely quick delivery . I won't go past them in future , can't recommend highly enough.

Good book

I love the Hairy Bikers, their food is always really tasty without loads of weird and hard-to-find ingredient lists (Tom Kerridge, I'm looking at you!), and the recipes always work. I was excited to receive this after having it on pre-order and we immediately tried the Macaroni cheese. Got to admit I was sceptical the I saw this soup floating around in the pan on the hob but trust those blokes with 'taches, they know their stuff and 20 minutes later we had a tasty Macaroni cheese on the table that even my picky 8-year old declared 'delicious'. And the washing up consisted of just 4 plates, 4 forks, the pan and the stirring spoon. Win-Win in my book! Trying more recipes tonight, but I'm pretty sure the Hairy Heroes have pulled off another blinder in the Recipe-Books-You-Never-Get-Rid-Of-And-Always-Come-Back-To Department. Nice one lads!

Well I thought it was going to be boring, with lots of ingredients, most of which I don't like, but how wrong was I??? Lots of easy but delish recipes, I can't stand up for long, but many of the recipes require only fairly quick preparation, well stir, Chuck it in the oven, ooh..lovely when it comes out! It's so good, I got the book on kindle unlimited, but I'm going to buy it to keep ....this is virtually unknown for me. Happy cooking everyone!!!

As always with the HB books they are well written and easy to follow. Sadly this one has a lot of recipes in that for one reason ar another would never be tried. What we have tried have been very good however there are better HB available which offer more.
