ENGEL 13qt Leak-Proof, Air Tight, Drybox Cooler and Small Hard Shell Lunchbox for Men and Women

as someone who ownes many yeti products i decided to try something new. i recently decided to replace my yeti hopper 8 which i was using for my lunch box with the engle 13 quart dry box. while my yeti was still good i just wanted something with more room in a hard case. after my lunch has been packed i still have a ton of room and i love the tray included inside to hold other items. while i don’t have anything bad to say about my yeti products other then issues with the zippers, i highly recommend this as a lunch box and i was happy also with the price and over all quality.

My husband started a new job, and needed a bigger lunchbox. This one does wonders! It fits SO much food/snacks! I could also spot my husband from a mile away with the color, haha!It’s super easy to clean out, I have sprayed with dawn dish soap and actually sprayed it out in the sink. Quick dry with a paper towel, and let it air out overnight it smells amazing! It also comes with a little tray, which is perfect for non lunch items!

This cooler is amazing it will hold ice for 4 days. It fits wonderfully on the back of our 4 wheeler and on the back of our Polaris Rzr. We would get another one of these for sure.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I mainly got it for taking my lunch to work and got the larger size to double as a small cooler for the pool and beach this summer. It’s held up great, slightly bulky but that’s fine I work in a harsher environment and it holds up well. Did awesome at the beach too, the seal kept sand out which is great, highly recommend this

Pretty decent little cooler for the price. The latches are stainless steel. The hinges are plastic and unfortunately lack a significant overtravel stop, relying on the hinge itself to hold the lid in the open position. As long as it's used properly it should be fine but accidental pressure in the open position would certainly break the hinge or the supporting plastic.Another apparent weak point is the slots for the carry strap. These work fine but the material is fairly thin and not well reinforced for some reason (although it would have been easy to radius those corners when designing the mold and prevent the stress riser but I'm no engineer). Again, as long as you have the strap on correctly it should be fine in proper usage.The seals are made of foam instead of silicone or rubber. Not sure how that'll hold up long term. It does keep things reasonably cool, but a cooler of this size doesn't hold much anyway so it's fine for a couple of lunches and a six-pack, making it good for daytripping, tailgating, picnicking, or whatever.

I bought this cooler/lunch box Nov 2020 it's currently June 2025 and it's hanging on strong. I use this cooler for a lunch box daily and a day cooler on the weekends. It keeps my drinks and food cold all day with 2 small ice blocks. I've hit this cooler with my trailer, dropped it plenty, sat on it most days for lunch time and everything functions perfectly. Highly recommend I'll probably buy another when the time comes but for now it still ticking.
