Got this for my 8mo old and wish I hadn't. The metal parts are flimsy and had minor rust spots. The paint was chipping on most of the toys, and since the product came from China I can only assume there may be lead in the paint. If your child is teething or likes to put things in their mouth this is not the toy set for them!

My kids who are 2.5 and 11 months old love these instruments. On the first day I purchased them one of the bells fell off of an instrument. I'm glad I caught it before my little one put it in his mouth. Also the maracas had very few beads inside and you can hardly hear it make any noise when you shake it. Lastly the sticks for the xylophone and the one for the triangle are not age appropriate. I'm about to throw these sticks away, because every time I let my 2.5 year old son play with them he ends up sticking them up his nose or ears. The positive is that my children love them and there are lots of different types of instruments for the amount of money they cost. I don't remember a note about what kind of paint is used on them and if it is safe for kids. Other than these things, I like the instruments, but I only let my kids play with them if I am supervising them.

Was looking for a gift for a 6 month old baby born to a very musical family and found this when searching infant musical toys on Amazon. It said age 3 months so I ordered. Upon receipt the packaging was marked with and included multiple choking warnings about almost every conceivable component of this set so I repackaged and returned. Very misleading and dangerous. I will stick to Melissa and Doug and other brand name items when considering toys for purchase on Amazon going forward.

I have 3 daughters who love making noise so this is the best toy for them. Every one of these instruments is extremely well made and great quality. They are made from hard wood and not from plastic which is great. They all come individually wrapped and in a cute backpack to hold it all. My daughters are having so much fun playing with everything! Would definitely recommend!

I bought this set for my daughter's 1st birthday! SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!! Have a 7 year old son and they literally sit there and play with a of the instruments together for hours! It is the cutest thing!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SET!! The quality of the instruments is great!! There are some choaking hazards but the quality is there and I monitor my 1yo and teach her not to put items in her mouth. I would and definitely recommend this and will buy this for other kids' birthdays.

I bought this for my 18 month old grandson for Christmas. He hasn't received it yet but the instrument are bright colored and durable. I had to return the first one I ordered because of the broken side on the paddle ball instrument. I had the replacement three days later! Amazing! All the instruments come in this cute little back pack, so easy clean up. I am sure he will love it. I'm giving his mom earplugs and my son, he's a percussionist and can handle it! I'm hoping they'll be playing together. Fantastic instrument bundle for small kids!

This is exactly what I was looking for. The handy storage bag is packed full of musical bells and shakers, a xylophone and tambourine and I am taking out a few at a time for my 11 month old. So I haven't seen or used everything yet but what she has used has been well made, works as expected and colors are bright and fresh - but not overwhelming. Everything seems pretty sturdy and for the price, I am very happy! Even my husband (who is more picky with spending $ on kids toys) seems impressed!

Not safe!Obviously, you watch your children when playing. However, this is ridiculous. The little bells with sceews attached came out EASILY. I'm thankful I noticed before my little one got ahold of it.Dangerous choking hazard!
