Very good quality, but it may be delivered damaged, because the shipping company may carelessly deal with the large and heavy box.

These are high quality cabinets, nice smooth drawer glides. Cabinet exterior side panel is somewhat thinner/lighter than would be ideal. One of the 3 was dented in shipping. Four-drawer height allows me to use the top surface as a shelf, and 22" deep works well in my small office.

This file cabinet was exactly as described. It was not damaged and was easy to unpack. My wife and I put it in place easily. Hanging folders drop right in.

First off this is not a knock on the cabinet at all. Moved from overseas so I knew A4 docs would be tight. You can fit the A4 paper but any A4 folders won't fit.Letter size hanging folders fit well and slide nicely.Comes with the keys taped to the top drawer. Spring holders are in the bottom drawer.No assembly necessary and packaging was good to prevent damage.Drawers can all open at the same time. Some cabinets only allow 1 drawer open at a time and I don 't like that kind. This was a pleasant surprise for me that they can all open.Bought the cream finish and the powder coating is smooth on all surfaces. Handles stainless steel.Metal is thick enough that the cabinet will last but not so heavy you can't move it around.Overall, great cabinet, will last. 5 stars.

Ok, where do I start. The file cabinet arrived well wrapped and protected, but when it was removed from the packing and the box, it was dented on the top left side. My daughter said it was not worth the hassle of sending it back so she would keep it. Now, move on to why she bought it in the first place. She needed a locking cabinet. This one was label as "Locking Cabinet". The lock was there but was not engaged and there were no instructions in any drawer or inside the box. My daughter was now flustered that she had paid $165 dollars for a non-locking cabinet. Fast forward a couple of hours and thanks to the internet, she found directions for installing locks on file cabinets. We now think the cabinet was bought, returned and resold and that the original buyer failed to return the directions because the steps for installing the lock were not done in sequence which ended up causing a lot of time lost to correctly install it. Most people would have given up in defeat but that is not me. I worked and worked and finally managed to engage the lock with the lock bar (which was not an easy task since the lock was already installed). The cabinet will now lock but as my daughter said, "anybody can easily break into the cabinet because the lock is made of plastic". Not worth the money she paid for it!!

This is the fourth Hirsch cabinet we have bought over the years. The drawers are heavy duty and slide smoothly, and the cabinet is sturdy but relative easy to move. Hanging folders drop right in. It takes up the same floor space as a two drawer cabinet, but its two top drawers are easily accessible for files that are used often - main reason we bought it. Delivery was excellent!! No dings, scratches or dents in the cabinet, not even a dent in the cardboard box. Packaging was excellent - styrofoam to hold the cabinet in place inside the box.

Well made for home use. I would not recommend for office use. Drawer slide system is not heavy enough for office use but acceptable for home use. Office grade would be double the cost of course due to the need for heavier steel construction. Very pleased with purchase for my home office.

Overall the item shipped (Hirsh Industries 22" Vertical File Cabinet), is in fine shape and is what I expected the product to be, but there is a slight crease (dent), in the third drawer from the top on the left-hand side near the open button. As an aside, the item was delivered five (5), days earlier than expected. That was quite convenient since I have quite a few of documents to file away and wanted to start as soon as possible.Thank you!
