General Electric WB07X10529 Microwave Frame

It's a secret that this frame WB07X10529 is identical to that for the control panel on the GE Spacemaker model JVM1650SH01. I have the latter microwave oven and did the changeout of frames yesterday. I think all the JVM1650SH## models, and at least o use the same frame. The frame is prone to cracking at the lower outboard corner. Maybe this is a result of owners not being super careful when taking off the control panel for repairs. StilI I am glad I can buy just the frame here and elsewhere. GE's parts hotline insisted that I could only buy the entire control panel (part # WB07X10800) for some $200. Wrong.Several tabs attach the brown frame to the silver control panel. Have a butter knife handy to loosen things a bit, and the changeout should go fine. Oatey Black ABS cement is a pretty good glue for a not-too-awful-looking temporary repair for cracks.
