Helps My Nerve Pain!
The flavor is horrible. But I got used to it and drink it plain now. This brand makes flavored BCAA that tastes great though. I googled how to mix this unflavored BCAA. Google said mix with stevia and citrus for best flavor. I worked. It was not as good as the flavored mix, but it was palatable. I just got tired of the extra work before bed. I mix this in a few ounces plain and drink it down. It helps with the burning and little electric shocks I get from my nerve pain. I will continue with this product.

Buen producto. Buena opción calidad/precio.
El producto es bastante bueno. Su sabor no es muy agradable pues es Unflavored y al paladar en realidad resulta ser un tanto amargo. Lo único que no me convence de este producto es que al mesarlo se espuma.

Unflavored bcaas tend to taste and smell a little weird
The taste is not that good but thats normal on any bcaa's brand that sells unflavored bcaa's. All you need to do is mix it with any juice or on a shake and the taste will go down a little. It wont dissapear but it will go down.

Great Flavor, Excellent Ratios, & Quality Ingredients! Return Buyer!
Awesome price and no weird additives! I have been losing weight/in calorie deficit (CICO) since March 15, 2017 and had my weight loss goal set at 1.5lbs per week (which is a -750 calorie deficit per day). I really dislike protein powders and don't eat a lot of meat, so I decided to add a BCAA to my day to *hopefully* help prevent muscle loss from dieting + working out. I am working out 5 days per week for about 2 to 3 hours daily. I take mostly strength-training classes (again....to preserve muscle while losing fat) mixed with a bit of cardio here and there, so I am burning a lot of energy and calories. This BCAA appealed to me because the 2:1:1 ratio is exactly what you're supposed to look for and typically only find in high-priced versions. On top of that, most of the expensive ones contain things like caffeine, green tea, and long list of "speedy" ingredients that really aren't necessary and that I didn't want. The fact that this contains Ashwaganda was a bonus because I've taken it before and it's very mild and only seeks to improve mood. I also liked the fact that this offers a variety of flavors/no flavor and is *allegedly* calorie-free.I drink this everyday in a concentrated form before my workouts...and then I take the remainder of the concentrated mixture (about 3 scoops total) and add it to my 64 ounce water and just sip on the diluted version throughout my workouts. I continue to add more water until I'm done working out and finish up whatever is left about an hour post-workout.Although I HATE fake sweetners, this one is easy to get used to compared to others. I got the Green Apple and it's basically a VERY SWEET Kool Aid. I don't know why the sweetness is quite so high...but the flavor is really tasty and adds well to water. There is no smell other than a muted "apple" scent and this doesn't typically irritate my stomach. Although BCAA's often cause nausea if you drink a lot DURING workouts, I found this only happened to me the first few days and then I adjusted the amount and my body also adjusted to having it. It only happened during extremely intense cardio workouts that sometimes make me a little queasy anyway. This is also very easy to mix. Although I have shaker bottles with the ball....I don't use them for this. I just shake it up in a regular water bottle the night before and stick it in the fridge for morning. No stirring or blender bottles necessary. What I don't quite understand is how it can be truly "calorie free". I've done some light reading and discovered that BCAA products don't have to list the calorie count as long as the calories *per gram* are less than 5. I hope that's not the case here because 5 calories per gram means that 1 scoop (7 grams) is about 35 calories. And since the recommended serving is about 20 grams per day...that quickly adds up to nearly 100 calories. To those not looking to lose weight or "cut"....that seems like no biggie. But even if you're drinking a low dose, 100 calories is a whole lot more than "calorie free".So I WOULD like to know if this is truly "calorie free" or the calorie count just isn't required due to the way the serving sizes are listed. Mind you...what I read could be total BS, but it's something to keep in mind if you're working out for weight loss or cutting and adding these calories without realizing it.Anyway, overall I'm thrilled with the taste, performance, and price and have ordered twice since my first purchase. I'm definitely pleased and although making muscle "gains" is nearly impossible while in deficit, I'm seeing nice muscle definition after losing 25 of the total 34 pounds I was looking to lose. I feel like this has been helpful both in preserving my existing muscle....as well as aiding in the DOMS (the sore muscles afterward) by just enough to notice. That's the best you can really expect from any BCAA and at this price point, the performance is incredible. Highly recommend and will continue to purchase (though if anyone knows about the calorie thing I mentioned, I'd love to hear back about it). Awesome product!

the description is accurate
I thought I was strong enough to do this. But I will forever be a cherry limeade person. Supplement seems to do what you buy it for but when they say unflavored the should put extra crusty next to it, cause let me tell u i was only able to finish half the container b4 I called it quits.TLDR: Works Well; Unflavored = Bad Taste/Bitter

Best BCAA you can buy if you want the real deal.
First off, for anyone who doesn't already know this, BCAA powder on it's own tastes terrible. It is possibly one of the worst tasting things in the world. That's just how it is. Why, you ask, would one choose to consume it in this form, as opposed to taking capsules or using the super-artificially flavored stuff? Well, #1) The amount that you need to take is pretty large, an amount that is about equivalent to 15-20 capsules. If you buy BCAA already in capsules, you will either need to consume an insane number of pills (which is not cost effective) or take incredibly tiny dosages that are basically pointless. The flavored stuff may be a better option for some people, but I prefer to consume the least amount of artificial flavorings and sweeteners as possible. I have not tried the flavored version from Nutricost, so I can't say anything about it being more palatable.I did use a BCAA powder a few years ago that was very palatable. The only issue was that it contained some artificial sweeteners, which was the reason I decided not to reorder it. If you don't care about artificial sweeteners and prefer something that has an acceptable taste, you might want to consider trying NaturoNitro:Â Naturo Nitro Atlas, BCAA Instantized Powder, Best Branched Chain Amino Acids, 28 Servings, 5.5g Per Serving, Lemon Lime Flavor . However, if avoiding artificial sweeteners is a priority for you, this Nutricost BCAA powder is the best you'll find.Since I prefer to suffer the terrible taste of the pure powder I used the unflavored version. This is not a criticism of this brand; BCAA is just inherently gross. We, as humans, are not designed to consume amino acids directly; we are designed to consume meat (which does taste pretty darn good) and then break it down internally into amino acid components.I did one time actually encapsulate this BCAA powder, myself, since I have a bunch of empty gelatin capsules that I often use to make my own supplement capsules. However, the main problem with doing this is #1) It takes about 15-20 capsules per dosage, AND: #2) this powder is incredibly hygroscopic so it becomes clumpy within minutes since it attracts the moisture in the air almost immediately. It's very hard to work with. With that caveat out of the way, I have nothing but good things to say about this product. Here's what I like:1) It's made in the USA. This is increasingly rare and at times impossible to find. This brand is one of the few that seems to make all their supplements in the USA. Other brands are produced in China (even if they are 'packaged' in the USA) which means: little/no regulation or oversight and you really have no way to know what horrible contaminants you might be ingesting.2) It works. I know most people use BCAA prior or after going to the gym to improve recovery time. I use this for a different purpose: to minimize PEM (post exertional malaise) which is a debilitating symptom of CFS/ME. If I start to feel PEM starting (which usually begins with dead arms), I take a dose of BCAA as one of my interventions. The relief is fairly immediate, though not long lasting. However, the fact that it is effective tells me that the product is what it's advertised as being.3) Buying it like this (as bulk powder) is cost-effective, much more so than other brands in capsules.Overall, I'm extremely happy with both this company and this product, specifically. If you have any questions, I'm happy to try to help. If you found this review helpful, consider leaving me feedback, I'd really appreciate it.
