I have a 4th grader (9year old boy) who was behind in reading and writing. I knew he just needed to go back a little bit and work on the letter and sound rules along with more practice. I got him this Grade 3 level book first to help and it was amazing. Now we are nearing the end of his 4th grade school year and starting the 4th grade version. My son is doing so much better, more confident, and has a better understanding to go forward and build on. Definitely recommend!

This is a good supplement and I love Spectrum language books on the whole. But I’ll say this one seemed quite below grade level.

This book is very unique. As usual, the Spectrum books are perfect teaching tools. I have not seen this particular material addressed so thoroughly in any other 4th Grade book. I am so happy to have it for my 4th grader, and he always enjoys working in the Spectrum books.
