HIGH QUALITY LEATHER with good sturdy snap and leash loop. The collar is stiff where it doesn’t flatten out easily, but it’s formed to fit around the dog so that works. My dogs previous nylon collar is 18” to the hole I use on my dog. This is being used on the 2nd out of 4 holes and fits, it just sits higher than usual. Not sure if that is the stiffness or tightness. Definitely a collar that will last a lifetime. Reminds me of natural leather split reins I use to have for my horses.

Measure your dogs neck, not the current collar your pet gas on. I measured my dogs collar and ordered the same size and it was an 1-2" too long. Great quality collar, I use them on three of my dogs, and they've lasted more than 5yrs. Just replacing one do to being heavily worn-out but still usable. Great value, nice aesthetics, awesome durability.

I was very happy with his collar. Not heavy weight leather, but actually very nice being light enough so it has been very comfortable and light as air for goldendoodle who is about 28 lbs. It has held up well and looks very nice on. The rolled leather has been excellent to keep from matting dogs hair. I thought I had read sizing info here at this site and comments on two other sites (manufacturer and large onlibe pet supply site), and was concerned it might be too small as I read different reviews, but it was bigger than I thought. My understanding was that the length of collar was the last hole out of 4 holes (holes being set 1 inch apart). My dogs neck was 13 inches. A 14 inch collar based on my understanding would provide first hole at 11, 12, 13, and last hole 14. A 16 inch would have holes at 13, 14, 15, last 16. I ordered a 14 inch but unfortunately it is on the smallest, first hole and still is very loose, so we do not use it to walk her or attach the leash. This collar is just used for her tags. Which is fine as being an occasional puller - dispite my best efforts to control the pup - the thin rolled collar would cut into her neck and esophagus when she sometimes pulls. It's such a beautiful collar so we like it but the manufacturer could do customers a big favor and provide better service to customers by photographing each collar size next to a ruler so we can make a better decision when ordering. It's quite confusing trying to order, even when going to manufacturers site and big online pet supply site for sizing info. All in all I'm happy with purchase and the price per quality was good, but another star would have been added if the sizing was correct/clearer.

I just purchased my second collar for my 5 month old puppy. My 10 month old puppy has one and it's been holding up great for the past several months. They wrestle around and play bite each other all the time. She has even pulled on his collar with her teeth and it still looks as good as new. The leather is not a super supple bridle leather but it's decent quality and does get softer over time. The sizing is exactly as described. Pictured is the 18" on the tightest setting on her approximately 15" neck. It's a tiny bit loose but in a couple of weeks it will be just right as she grows. She's currently 45 lbs Dutch Shepherd puppy. As you can see it lays nicely on her short fur. My 45 lb Pitbull Terrier wears the same size on the second tightest hole. The collar is easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth and doesn't get smelly like nylon collars do.

Nice collar, but it is important to note that the length indicated in the product description is the largest size the collar extends, not the mid-point, like some other collars (or human belts). My dog needed a 19.5" collar, so I ordered the 20". If she grows any larger (or gets fatter), I'll need to get the next size up.

I really like the rolled leather collars! They do not breat the fur around the neck on a longer hared dog.

The 1st one I received lasted a week or so. The loop where you attach tags is fastened by small rivets. The rivets fall apart! I do not use this collar for attaching leads or training so no pulling , all the collar does is hold one small silicone tag. After the 1st collar failed, it was replaced. Now the replaced one has failed. My dog weighs 34 lbs and there is absolutely no reason the rivets don't hold except for poor quality. I actually give it 0 stars!

Good quality and price

Nice quality leather and strong stitching. I used one for 8 years and it's on it's second dog now. Bought this new one for another dog in the family. These are great because they do not compress & mat the fur under the collar or cause heating in the summer. They can be used along with a prong training collar because they are narrow enough that they don't impede the effect of the training collar like the wide collars do.

I've had a few of these collars over the years, and this one is what I needed to replace a too small one that broke prematurely. Was hoping for a 1" x 20" collar, but the 22" one done up all the way has been ok.

Order is for a 24” collar yet this measures 26” and is too large

Looks and works great on my big pup, and doesn’t “flatten” his natural fur line <3
