The color of this hood is *almost* a perfect match to my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III. It's not exactly the same, but close enough. If you were standing next to me in good light you could probably see the difference, but from a distance you wouldn't be able to tell a difference.The build is solid plastic right down to the base of the hood held in place by 4 metal screws. The hood stores reverse just fine and the release button works great. The tiny button is black by the way and not same color as the hood. At first I wished it was the same color, but now I like that little bit of contrasting black against the off-white. The printed "JJC LH-87" is bright white against the off-white hood, but it is small and barely visible. If you got the black version, it would much more visible. Overall it is a solid, well built hood that fits and works perfectly with my mark III. Other than the color not matching perfectly, for the price $17, it's a keeper if only as a backup hood. If I get tired of this white, I can just swap back to my original black hood. But yeh, this is a keeper.

This hood makes my Canon 70-200 look better. The black hood that came with it seems odd, but this one fits the color of my lens perfectly and makes it a nicer, cohesive unit in my opinion. The price can't be beat, especially considering that the overpriced stock hood comes in at a WHOPPING $60! Even cheaper ones at B&H are $43 as I look now, and knock-offs... well, you just never know how they're going to fit or last.This fits like a glove! Color match is exact. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Fits my lens perfectly, and is easy to take on and off. Every sturdy.

Looks like a decent quality product on its own, however it doesn't fit the Canon 70-200

I like the heat reflective white color like my L Lens

I've used lens hoods since I was 20 years old, and that was 52 years ago. I've never had one that didn't work, but this one just would not attach to my lens. I think it must be that little button, which I kind of wondered about to begin with but thought I'd try. Bye Bye, back to Amazon and I'm going to get one without the little button.

I like it a lot. But the color does not match like the other people have reviewed. It might be a better match for a 70-200mm 2.8 Mark I or II. But the Mark III is a no go with color matching. I dont think I have seen one that matches the markIII yet, so I am going to keep it. It is very well built and fits better than the oem one that came with my lens. I would definatly buy more of these lens hoods for my other lenses !!! The Item shipped fast and on time!
