Excellently sharp, worth having a spare
I use these to cut through treated lumber, wood branches and PVC. Very sharp and quick to cut with a simple pulling motion. The cuts are thin and very smooth. The saw makes short work of tree branches for firewood. I use it for simple woodworking--boxes and shelves--and occasional PVC pipes. The saw stays sharp a long time. The 15 inch is a good length, but I'd buy a 26 inch if they made one.

These saws are simply awesome.
American practicality with great Japanese ancient technology. Pull stroke saws can be thin, are easier to control, and cut fast. I have three sizes of these, the big 18 inch one is great for cutting beams, or those landscape timbers, 4x4, 4x6. I got aquanted with Japanese saws as a woodworker cutting dovetails, and those are very thin and expensive, very fine teeth, but best for very detailed work, and you don't want to use it except for that. These saws are an affordable alternative to push saws, which unless you spend a lot of money, or know how to set the teeth and file them, have never been all that useful to me. And these are much easier to cut a straight line with.Get one and see for yourself. Great bargain, great tool.

Great saw
I've used this saw for years, but hit a nail during one use. This blade is as good as the original, and cost less than getting a new saw.

Super sharp.
I had to file an 1/8 off of the blade to fit the old handle, but this is a wicked sharp saw, cuts thru limbs like butter !

Plastic is not my thing
I have both 15 and 12 in replacement blade, they both perform very well, easy to learn if you never use one before. I like my tool handles made of wood that why i bought blade only and construct handles myself, now the saws may not be legal in California LOL. And for those reviewer saying Japanese pull saws are better than Western push saw , stop the BS and don't kid yourself , because you don't know how to use the push saws including how to sharp them. I have a few dozen of saws Eastern, Western and some where in between and sufficient skill to use them so I know what i am talking about.

Very nice and sharp blade.
I already had this saw for several years and love it. But it started to get a bit dull shall we say so I got another blade as stand by. The original blade still cuts decent but with Murphy's Law, if you have a spare you'll never need the other one, right!
