Excellent Product
I used this kit to repair a 4 string double blind in our RV. Between the instruction booklet included and their extensive on-line video instructions I was able to break down the project and successfully repair our blinds. Highly recommend!

follow diagram
worked perfectly for our 4 cord shade. tip is to go to walmart or like store and get needle with hole large enough to thread cord thru, then used needle to run the cord thru the shade holes. I used a little painter tape to prevent tip of cord from fraying while threading thru needle. Also used painter tape to mount spring at the top to workspace so you can manage cording easier. Hardest part is keeping crossed cording from tangling when sliding the shades back into the headers, reduce slack cord as much as possible.

Saved hundreds by fixing shades instead of buying all new
The strings in the shades that came with our trailer wore out fast and nearly at the same time. If you're reading this, you know exactly what I mean. They were incredibly poor quality and we were faced with replacing multiple shades. I came across this kit which cautioned to check the label on the PVC rail. Fortunately, this kit worked and 1 kit was able to fix about 3 shades depending on their size. The string seems a lot better quality. We saved hundreds of dollars by not having to buy all new custom shades for the trailer. The kit was fairly easy to use and the most difficult part was taking down and putting back up the shades and their valances.

Repairing shades
This this kit worked very well to repair a pleated shade in my travel trailer. However I would have liked to had black thread but I couldn't find it... But the instructions are easy to follow and the repair turned out successful

Not An Easy Fix
I purchased this Pleated Shade Repair Kit after watching a YouTube video about fixing an RV Dinette Pleated Shade. I thought about just buying the cord but ended up using some of the other items in the kit and there was enough cord to fix two 5 foot shades so I'll give the kit 5 stars. The repair was far from easy though. It took my two friends and I about four hours to uninstall, repair and reinstall the shade in part because of the tight fit to the valance. One serious shortcoming to the shade repair is the original strings were crimped when attached to the spring and the YouTube video showed the replacement strings simply being tied to the spring and the raw edge taped. This repair obviously would not have lasted because the cord is slippery and the knots wouldn't have held. Since each hank of cord was long enough to replace two of the strings, we threaded one hank of cord through the spring, tied a knot and then threaded the cord through where two separate strings were previously. The shade now works and hopefully the repair will last.

Restrung day night blinds, thank you for instructions
First time restringing some day and night blinds. I liked the instruction book as it covered things step by step. The only bad part was the tip of the cord kept fraying and expanding fringing making it especially hard to fit through the end cap hole. I had to keep cutting tips off or wetting it to stay together. The retainers were a little different than my originals and held tight once you screwed in, nice update. Overall good kit.

Disappointing Assortment
Not what I was hoping for. Apparently this kit is meant for a particular brand of pleated shade. Other than the strings nothing in this kit is of any use to me.

Better than having to buy new blinds!
Fixed two of our RV blinds and saved a bunch of money. Not the easiest to restring, but two of us figured it out and very happy with the results!
