a sweet deal!
got here quick and worked like a charm on a difficult hard to get to fastener! i was changing out the blend door actuator on my 2002 Dodge Ram, and if you've ever done one you know about the screw closest to the firewall... incredibly difficult to get to and incredibly difficult to unscrew... with this 1/4" wrench i was able to slip a phillips #2 bit into the socket, put some upward force with a pry tool underneath and back the pesky screw right out... same going back in... made the job a 3 minute simple task rather than a wasted 45 minute sweaty ordeal... thanks to the GearWrench store for selling these separately for such a fair price!

Overall a great wrench
This wrench was an addition to an existing set of these wrenches. Overall I like this wrench, as well as the rest of the set, but I do have two complaints. The inside of the open end is the same fully polished chrome plating as the same as the rest of the wrench. This is a concern to me because the plating does play a part in the tolerance of the open end, and chrome plating is prone to chipping. Additionally, the idea of a smooth and polished gripping end seems opposite of what is wanted. I understand these are regular open ends and not grip ends or flank plus style ends, but it would seem that leaving that inside surface unfinished like the inside of a socket would be more appropriate.Second is a lack of quality control. Two common examples of this with these wrenches are:1. The handle tends to not be straight over its length. If you hold the wrench as you are pointing it at something, you can see there is often a slight curve to the handle.2. On the open end, the ends of the jaws are often not straight at their tip ends.As long as those two are not excessively bad I don't think there would be any impact on use, but it does nonetheless show a lack of quality control in the final product. I am unsure if a lot of out of spec product passes or if the spec is loose enough to consider all of this within spec, but either way it is a lacking in quality standards.I cannot say anything specific about this wrench size that does not apply the same to the other sizes. These wrenches hold up well, and although I list two complaints above, neither have become an issue in my use of these tools. The ratcheting end, which is what I use most often, has never failed during use, even with the use of a second wrench as a cheater. I have experienced one get stuck, but simply placing them on an appropriate fastener and giving it a firm hit with my hand in each direction freed it up leaving no residual performance issues. The wrench is fully polished with a relatively thin handle. The finish of the wrench feels nice and the thinness is not enough to make it uncomfortable to use in my experience with occasional use. Clean up is easy with a reasonably clean rag. The ratcheting end is non serviceable, although with some effort you could disassemble it. I like to soak mine every so often in a small jar filed with ATF, just enough to cover the ratcheting end. The lubrication for sure enters the mechanism as when it is next used, a difference can be felt along with the purging of the now dirty lubricate. Finally, these wrenches are non reversible. You reverse the direction of ratcheting by flipping the wrench over. Some comment that this can cause issues where you back out a fastener trapping the wrench. Should this happen, there are plenty of ways to correct this with a little effort, but if you pay attention to what you are doing, this should not be a problem. A similar thing can also happen to a ratchet when you back it out leaving the end with the reversal lever unreachable between the ratchet and the obstruction.

Great tool, Dependable brand
I haven't had a bad tool yet from Gearwrench. I use tools a lot in my profession and truly believe that you get what you pay for. This is an example of that. I paid a little more, but the quality is there. Cheaper tools may have a "lifetime" guarantee, but what good are they if you are making constant returns? All your doing is wasting time. I'd rather get the job done in one shot, and move on to the next project. This tool will do that. I would be happy to buy this brand again.

No switch
I do like this wrench. Only bad thing I can say, first picture makes it appear to have a fwd/rev switch. However it's the style you have to flip over.

Perfect replacement for the one I lost.
Nice chrome. Perfect replacement for the one I lost. My original set says mastercraft since it's from Canadian Tire, this just says gearwrench since it's not from Canadian Tire but is essentially the same tool.

NOT 7mm wrench dont waste your time here
Really.. ? if I buy a wrench of 7mm I would like this respects the international world standard. On the package it says 7mm, but on the wrench ( Both sides ) it says 6mm.. and if I compare with another 7mm wrench it's certainly not 7mm. So I paid for what ?

Cant beat the original gearwrech.
I remember the days when sears first carried the original GearWrench, it was over 200$ for a basic set of SAE or Metric, but it was well worth it. The time saved, and aggravation of having to use regular wenches was worth the cost. 15 years later still the most versatile wrenches out there.
