How far can your discharge line run with a 2 foot rise? Running line to my septic tank, about 130 to 150 feet away.

Mine is about 160ft and a 13-14ft rise. I have a check valve in line, but otherwise it's been working fine. 2" pipe all the way, though in hindsight I wonder if 1.5" pipe would have reduced the gravity load even if more restrictive to flow.

Is this pump designed to pump all the sewage for an average household?

Not exactly sure what you are referring to when you say average household as American households vary greatly. However this pump would certainly handle a household of 2-3 people. Without looking at the pump specs, I wound guess that this pump could handle 1-2 bathrooms as well. I used it for one bathroom - bath sink, shower, and toilet and it's worked great so far. I will add that I have installed several sewage ejector pumps over the years and this one was by far the easiest to install and the quietist and absolutely no sewer gasses leak from the basin tank due to the exceptional gasket system on the basin/tank.

How often do you have to clean the unit? Mine was so caked with gunk after 3 months the float switch could not activate properly.

I noticed the same problem, now I wipe down pots and pans and dishes that have grease or fat with a paper towel instead of sending it down the drain and noticed I can go six to eight months in between cleanings.
