Replacement Battery for APC Back-UPS ES 550VA - 2 Pack

APC backup batteries excellent

These batteries replaced my original ones in CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD and so far they are just as good, both have exactly the same specs and the price of these is good compared to some others. Don't expect these to come ready to install, you have to reuse all your original hardware (in my case wires and a spacer), but that's where you save a lot of money on. These are very easy to install back into the case, taped them together with some packing tape and the original spacer in the middle after hooking up the wires and in they went with no problems at all.The original batteries just recently passed away after astonishing 6 years! If these serve me 4-6 years with the light use that the originals had, then I'll be definitely buying these again.Unplugged the UPS to simulate power outage, it switched to batteries right away as usual. I have my fairly powerful PC, 27" LED LCD monitor, router and cable modem plugged into it, which is drawing about 125W on idle (according to my UPS), estimated time till 0 capacity was 45 minutes, which is well within the specs of battery run time on my UPS.I bought my batteries from First Web Sales here on Amazon. The packaging was good, came in a tight square box with no room for them to rattle inside, some durable bubble wrap all around. Looked like the corners of the box got beat up by the shipping company but the packaging was durable enough to withstand and deliver my batteries with no damage at all. Good job guys. Note, like most replacement batteries, for a good price, these don't include the return of your dead ones, I knew that when I bought them tho, just a heads up. You usually pay a hefty premium for return.Will update with the good and the bad (if any) as time goes on.

I have two of the APC 550VA UPS for home computers. I bought these to replace them but found that the batteries where not as good as the orginal APC that sell for more money. I noticed two thing one the batteries were lighter than the original batteries and plug contacts are not as wide as the originals. I had to get a pair of needle noise pliers to close the socket connectors on the wires to work but they are only crimped on one side of the connector. The battery being lighter means it does not hold as much power since its the same chemistry battery.On the bright side the APC is working again and the batteries fit in the case. It will probably help somewhat on short surges which is the only thing I expected. The price was cheap enough that I gave this a shot and I am keeping them.

Extended the life of my APC UPS. Replacing the battery was plenty less expensive than replacing the UPS. Good fit, but be sure you pick the right battery since they come in different sizes, and the way the battery terminals are oriented.

Installed these batteries in 2 APC UPS devices a few days ago.For under $20 each, I converted non-functional $60-$90 units (that were gonna go into trash) into fully functional devices. Not sure how long they will function, but so far this looks like a great purchase.Totally happy, Highly recommended.

I bought 4 of these batteries to replace failing batteries after 3.5 years. Replacement was easy and finding a place to recycle them was not bad, Home Depot takes them.The original batteries lasted 3.5 years, the replacements lasted 4 years and 9 months. I will use the same manufacturer for replacements on the SMC1500 that just went bad.

I thought I had to replace my UPS's (2) but saw these replacement batteries. Saved money and they were delivered to the door!

Works well so far. Great alternative to the prices APC want.

Arrived in great condition, installed easily, has worked 6 weeks so far without issue.
