It's detection point is far closer than it claims. Have tested on numerous objects and it doesn't detect until very close. The light is a great addition but cannot be turned on separately. Price was good though

it is the best one for the money and very easy to use .

Purchased for my 9 year old daughter,she wanted a metal detector for a while and this one matched all her expectations from colour to size adjustments and weight. The detector works very well and detects metals up to about 6 inches depth. It doesn't seem to pick up any interference and is very accurate. Would highly recommend this as a reasonably priced detector, great for both kids and adults because the stem is adjustable height so the whole family can enjoy some fun days out :)
