Shrimp Mineral GH/KH+ has been especially designed for the preparation of neutral aquarium water for keeping and breeding shrimp. It re-mineralises e.g. RO water, rainwater, fully desalinated water etc., raising total hardness (GH) and carbonate hardness (KH) at a ratio of GH/KH: 1.0/0.5. Especially shrimp from habitats with a neutral pH do very well in water prepared with this mineral salt. Shrimp Mineral GH/KH+ contains all the important minerals and trace elements your shrimp need for their well-being, an intensive colouration, successful breeding and healthy growth. It also furthers plant growth and the microbial regeneration of biological filter substrates. Instructions of use Mix with water outside of the aquarium. Shrimp Mineral dissolves almost completely within seconds, and the water is ready for use at once. Please make sure that any undissolved particles go into your tank, too. Close container after every use at once as this mineral salt absorbs moisture. Dosage Use Shrimp Mineral to re-mineralise RO water, rainwater, fully desalinated water etc. to reach a total hardness of about 6 GH and/or a conductance of about 300 +/- 50 uS (Microsiemens). For this purpose, an evenly full measuring spoon (about 2 g) to 10 litres of water is sufficient. Measuring spoon enclosed. RO/DI water plus Salty Shrimp is the way to go ...
RO/DI water plus Salty Shrimp is the way to go when setting up or maintaining a Neocaridina shrimp tank. One note from experience using the product: purchase a gram scale and measure out the amount of product you use and your resulting TDS results when adding to a known volume of RO/DI water. You will soon have calculated how much Salty Shrimp you need to add per gallon of RO/DI water to get your target TDS. Once you have that figured out it makes water changes a breeze.

Both adults and babies survive longer
First time shrimp keeper and my first tank went extinct. After investing in a RO system along side this my neocaridina are surviving and thriving. Also i when i purchased my second batch of shrimp it came with 4 berried females all of which gave birth safely within a few days in a new tank

Inconsistent
The gh and kh is not consistent. Ph is upper 7s at the correct dose. Better to buy just the gh+ version of this and do your own kh with something like seachem alkaline buffer.

I mix to match the tank water, same measurment everytime for consistent water parameters. I was having shrimp deaths almost every water change until I started using this. I still have a setup that trickles the water back in over a 2hr period. No molting issues, they seem to be breeding more often now.
