Moved to the US from Europe! Brought with me my console collection and needed a step of Voltage Transformer in order to make them work due to voltage differences between the 2 continents. Tried my PS1 with it and worked perfectly. Please note that even though the PS1 specifically needed a frequency of 50Hz, It worked perfectly considering that the frequency in the US is 60Hz. Have no idea if the transformer caters for this also but just wanted to mention that it worked for fellow enthusiasts like me! Looking forward to try my other consoles but I am confident all will be good :)Item is very sturdy and easy to use! Gave an overall 5 star rating as it worked for my needs! Will not use it for travelling as partially I do not need to and partially because of its weight! Overall I am very happy with it and it fits my purpose and did not break my wallet in the process!

I use it for a printer and a sewing machine separately of course overseas. It works great! Be sure to check the watt of your appliance before buying.

I was looking for a good voltage converter for quite some time until I came across this one. Most of the voltage converter products nowadays on the market claim to be CE certified. As an electrical engineer, I know that CE certification is a European requirement. It is not recognised in the USA and has no relevance or significance in the North America. I purchased this transformer as it is certified to conform to CSA / US (which is comparable to UL) safety standards. It is more expensive than others CE certified products, but I am absolutely confident using this one from safety perspective. It is well made, light (only 6 lbs) and functions as described. Good product and well worth the money!

Ah, man!,Okay, so here's the thing, I live all the way in Kenya [East Africa people], and we have 220-240V vs 120V for US, etc.Now I own a few equipments [made for US market] like my Cusinart ICE-70, Nespresso machine that I got in DC from my past travels etc., So I needed me a step up adapter option and this Vzolution solution was a mighty game changer! I had been shopping for one for awhile and what attracted me to it is the size, colour and good reviews! Please buy it soon. Very good and compact transformer for stepping up 120 volt to 240 volt or stepping down 240 to 120 volt. It is very quiet and does not hum even under loads. The 500 watt rating is continuous use and not a peak rating. The reason I rated it down a little on traveling is that, because it is a transformer, it is heavy. Not something you would like to throw in your carry-on bag when traveling.

This seemed like a perfect item, so I purchased two. Upon receipt, one was damaged beyond use (parts falling out). The other simply did not work. It transferred no power. Outlet works, appliance works and is well below 500 watts, connected the transformer to the working outlet, the appliance to the transformer, turned on transformer (hmm no light on the switch, ok maybe it does t light), turned on appliance, didn’t work. Prior to connecting, I read all instructions, ensured proper settings. After failure, tried reset, nothing changed. I have two pieces of trash that I paid to have. Extremely disappointed and frustrated, and hoping I am just unlucky and others will have better luck.

I am so happy to find this converter. My Turkish Coffe maker originally made in Turkey and it requires 240V. After awhile they released the US version with 110V but since I already had mine I did not want to pay another $200 to purchase the machine. So I decided to give a shot for this one. And Vala it works like a charm.Before this I tried 110V to 240V wall plug units which was $20 device and it was not operating the machine properly.I turn on the converter when I need to use the coffee machine and that way planning to keep for a long time.Quality product and I suggest anyone who uses European devices in the states.
