Pouches were in excellent shape with no usage wear
Pouches were in excellent shape with no usage wear. Really ordered this for the pouches, but the stripper clips are OK if you run some rounds through them and use a bit of lubricant.

Nice accessory for your old Russian
This was a better quality accessory than I thought it would be never having handled one before, nice soft leather, mine was not looking very well cared for when i opened it up, still had some smudges of cosmoline and bits of straw inside from years of storage in a crate at an arsenal but nothing unusual about that, I knew I wasn't getting a new reproduction, and just wanted it for display with my Mosin 91/30, included was a pack of 5 stripper clips, brand new made in china, they grip the rounds very tightly and scratch the sides of the cases where they hold them but if you are using the non re- loadable steel cases, then it wont be a problem, they include 5 stripper clips, but each pouch would hold 6 loaded clips, would have been nice to get an extra, but since I don't plan to leave ammo in the pouch or even use it at the range, it's not a deal breaker.

Pouche is awesome
The ammo pouch is exactly as pictured for me but the stripper clips are the same cheap garbage as the others on here. You're buying this for the pouch just so you know

Everything I expected!
I mostly ordered this for the stripper clips. The pouch was a bonus, as far as I was concerned. However, the pouch is an old leather military ammo pouch. Very good quality, if a little worn (it's probably 60+ years old, so that's understandable). These pouches should each hold at least two full stripper clips worth of ammunition (on the clips, of course). Hell, the old Nam vet roommate liked the pouch, and asked where I got it.

just what the doctor ordered
these stripper clips are the original style straight clips, no funny cut outs, no springs, they work as well in a 1934 tula hex receiver as they do in a type 53 or a 1942 izzy, no sticking, no hanging up, indexed easily into the receiver and unloads quickly with no "bite."the pouch needed a little cleaning up, mostly around the brass bits but other than that it was perfect. i was really surprised by how soft the leather was and how easily it cleaned up with just a little scrubbing with a tooth brush and some gun oil.this is a great pouch and these are the right clips for any mosin.

Smells like Soviet Union
upon arrival they were beautiful until i opened the wrapping paper and smelled the classic Soviet surplus stench from the years of sitting in warehouse waiting for next war. Just a bit of mildew comes right out with some warm water and a bit of baking powder no big deal it seems they vary depending on the day because mine look nothing like the other pictures on here mine are clean and pristine no mud or signs of use they aren't even marked maybe they are reproduction? they are still lovely and fit good on sling of mosin rifle!

About these
I'd like to point out something to all the people buying.1: These are Tika clips, made by the Finns for the Finnish Mosin. They work in all Mosin models, however, but the fact that they are Finnish will affect point #2.2: Mosin clips eject, but in two ways depending on style. A lot of Russian clips pop off of the gun when the rounds are racked, however these Tika clips eject when the bolt is closed. All styles of clip work in all Mosins.3: Tika is one of the main companies that produced Mosin rifles in Finland. These are therefore original in regard to Finnish guns.4: The Tika logo is on the back of the clip.5: The clip is supposed to be very loose in the gun. When I got these, they were very tight. Take the open side of the clip and pinch it together once to loosen it up. Don't go crazy with pliers, just use your hands.6: Finally, only Mosins that don't have Interrupters need to be staggered, however, Mosin clips work the best and are the easiest to load when loaded staggered.
