GearWrench - KDT-3289 GEARWRENCH Oil Pressure Check Kit, 10 Piece (Pack of 1)

This tool worked great for me on the gmc duramax i was working on. It set up as described, functions as advertised,and what i can see about it will hold up for the long haul.

Fantastic product and a must have for any mechanic. This is my go-to tool for testing oil pressure on ls engines and 5.4 tritons where the oil pressure sensor isn't easy to get to. I could also see it being useful on the dodge magnum engines but I have not used it for that application yet.

If it has a spin on filter, this works well. Sometimes I feel like I have to add too many adapters making it feel kind of Mickey Mouse, but it does work. I do wish the hose was longer, or maybe easier to adapt to a longer hose.

Used once so far on a Ford 3.5 eco boost F150. Worked great. This tool allows you to compare actual pressure to what the sensor is reading. I do recommend taking the Schrader valve out though.

Works well. However there is a learning curve so to speak. Found out the hard way. There is a check valve in fitting on adaptor that traps oil pressure in guage. this resulted in only reading peak pressure that in turn resulted in a missed diagnoses of active live pressure. Removed valve and all is well.

Works extremely well and is very easy to read. Needs some common sense when installed though. It’s easy to get everything tight but not have the cup seated on the filter housing which leads to a massive leaks.

This kit is the easiest way to test oil pressure vs the 'normal' oil pressure test kits sold by others. This kit is not exclusive to GearWrench, but is harder to find under other tool company names. I haven't had any problems hooking this 'GM' kit to other engines from chrysler and even ford. I'm not aware of any adapters that you can use for the filter media engines, but if you have a canister oil filter then this kit should work.

Before tearing an engine apart to fix it, you need to find out if it has good oil pressure. This tool allows you to do that much easier that accessing the sending unit.

TOOL WORKS GREAT,ALLTHOUGH I HAD TO RE-THREAD THE THREADS IN THE CUP FOR THE ADAPTERS AND THE VALVE TUNNEL WAS DAMAGED A BIT SO I COULDN'T REMOVE THE VALVE PROPERLY BUT AT THE END I FIXED IT AND I'M A HAPPY GUY.
