5 stars for the product, 10 stars for me for buying it!
I bought this for my raised deck (8x10), on 2nd floor of my house.I had been looking at getting a retractable awning with attached bug netting, but that ended up getting very pricey (between $4k and $6k), and then finding that awning dealers were no longer selling the bug netting (probably getting damaged when the awning auto-retracts in higher wind. This $200 tent has become one of the best purchases in many years for me.This 6x6 tent fits perfectly on my 8x10 deck. The 6x6 is really the dimension of the top framework. The expanded sides (that bow out from the tension rods) actually measures close to 8x7.I first opened it up in my living room to get acquainted with the deployment. Then I closed it up and took it out to my deck. It was nearly as easy to set up in those cramped quarters (due to the side of the house and the railings) as it was in my living room.I really enjoy sitting outside listening to sprinkles land around and above me - but I don't like getting wet from them. As long as the wind isn't blowing with the sprinkles, this tent keeps me dry. Even a slight breeze is okay as the water has to work a little hard to get through the screen.I love being able to eat outside when the weather permits. I have an umbrella for really hot/sunny days, but it doesn't cover as much of the deck as I sometimes wish it would. And I really don't like when the bugs start swarming while I'm eating. I had purchased a hanging mosquito net to hang from the umbrella, but that was pretty inconvenient and only good for solo dining. With this tent, I can easily get my food out on the table with only unzipping and rezipping with each trip. And when I'm eating, it's so peaceful not having to constantly swat bugs away. Oh, and this time of year there is a lot of cottonwood (summer snow) blowing around. This blocks 99% of it (although some does follow me in as I go in and out). This is a real game changer for my outside dining. My very first meal in it (a beautiful steak dinner) would have been interrupted by a sudden sprinkle had it not been for being in the tent. What a great way to christen it!It's plenty big inside for 2 people to comfortably lounge on patio furniture or eat at a small table.I've only been using it (nearly daily) for a month or so, so I can't speak to its durability just yet. The zipper is very heavy duty looking, and I haven't seen any indication yet that it might be a problem.I do wish for one change (which I can make myself, but would be nice if built this way), that the lower zipper had a different color of grip string. It is too easy to grab the top zipper when you want the bottom one. I'll probably add a colored ribbon to the bottom one.It doesn't get too dark inside like I was afraid it might. I still have to wear my sunglasses sometimes when I'm reading in the tent. And I can still catch the sun's rays when it isn't straight up. I was also worried that the netting would make it too stuffy inside, like the mosquito netting I had did, but it is quite comfortable since it lets a bit more breeze through.Portability - if I was going to do anything out at a park with any regularity, or go camping, I would get a 2nd one of these for that. When closed and in its (very rugged) carrying case, it is quite light and easy to take with you.My kitties just love this (as pictured)!

SIMPLY THE BEST! BUY IT!
EXCELLENT dome screen tent. BEST in class and has all the features. EXCEEDS expectations. The first one we had was a different name brand and lasted a couple years, it was a good name brand but was over $300. THIS replacement is much better in every way.*The fabric, grommets, zippers, velcro, and even the stakes are high quality. The six strings come with smaller stakes for extra wind protection*The ATTACHED wind and rain flaps are a huge upgrade and bonus! Others have invidual panels that need to be put up by attaching to the tent with velcro. SOME, USUALLY only 2 have windows (so there can be ventalation when the protection, comfort panels are up). These panels have a window in EVERY panel and thus no matter which way the wind or rain is coming from you'll be able to open windows. The quality is notable with small seams fitting over the edge of the panels. There are panels for the doors too. All panels just need to be rolled up and tied when not needing them. Then to use just unroll and velcro down the ones you choose.*The door has two quality zippers, one for the screen layer and one for the wind and rain panel. The zipper can be unzipped from the top or bottom. *The size is larger than most, usually the 12' ones are 11'.5" or at most 12' while this one is an extra 6 inches all the way around (which is really an extra foot inside if adding the 6in from one side to the 6in straight across. This could be used as a sleeping tent for extra guests. The listing pics don't do justice for this screen tent, it's much better. It costs a tad more but overall it's a much better deal. This is a case of you get what you pay for.Review pics were taken with some side panels down and some up to show what each look like. It was very windy when pics were taken. The front anchor strings are not up.The easiest way to set up is go inside and push out the lower wall pieces going around a circle. That takes about a minute. Then stake down, hold stakes at an angle. The grommets are under the rain flaps at the intersections/corners.

Awesome All-Weather Winner
Late-summer lake camping in a year with wonky wet weather, and this roomy gazebo proved the perfect solution. The four of us were cozy, comfy, and dry during a full-day of downpour. There was no water incursion around the perimeter, and no leaks anywhere save for a few slow drips running down the screens from the seams at the top. (See photo.) Seam-sealer all around the upper seam is recommended before use. A big plus is the light-colored canopy. Even on a dark, overcast day, the interior was bright. Setup is straightforward, but the full-size (12.5 x 12.5) model is big, heavy, and awkward to handle. Despite the slick YouTube videos, it's hard to erect without two people. And getting it stuffed back into the "carry" bag is an exercise. There are some minor design flaws. (1) Rolling the side weather panels up or down requires removing the tie-down guys from their stakes and threading-unthreading them through the holes in the panels. And note: guying out the hubs is essential for stability in weather. RECOMMENDATION: Don't tie the guy lines to the hub eyebolts; use carabiners to make it easy to attach-detach them. (2) The side panels and doors are tied up or back with simple tie strips, which are a nuisance to do and undo. They should have been fitted with toggle and loop stays. (I plan to attempt the upgrade myself.)All in all, this is a great product, a bit pricey but worth it. Highly recommended.

Roof collapses in heavy wind creates a basin to catch rain, then tent leaks.
First the good, we love this clam quick set pavilion tent. Set up is quick and easy. Lots of room inside, the solid walls have windows. The tent is well made, zippers, velcro fasteners all great. We bought the optional tarp floor, so much cleaner. It is waterproof as long as the roof does not collapse. The zip down solid walls are wonderful. it has to be staked down by the wall pull out handles which pass through the solid walls. Added climber clips to the stake ropes to make it easy to disconnect and reconnect the stake ropes. The company says it can be used as a regular tent for sleeping with the optional floor insert. We had lots of rain in the past week, two nights ago heavy wind gusts with a little bit of rain. The wind collapsed the roof which filled with rain and then the inside of tent leaked. The indoor outdoor carpet and floor mat were wet. Plus the wind continued throughout the day.. after trying an 8' 2 by 4 which did not work. I ended up putting the old sun umbrella inside the tent weighted in place with a heavy pail of rocks. Once the umbrella was up the roof no longer caved in. It would be impossible to sleep in this tent during a rain/wind storm. In my opinion this is a design flaw. Perhaps clam should offer an accessory like 2 flexible poles that can be installed criss crossed in the centre inside the tent to keep the roof up during storms... or some kind of pole in the middle to act the way the sun umbrella does. After putting the umbrella in I opened up all the solid walls, removed the wet carpet and mat. The inside dried out real quick with the heavy wind. I gave it a 3 star rating on value for money as it was expensive almost $1000. CAD.Update my fix for the roof collapsing due to 30 mph winds.bought a 5 gallon plastic pail with lid, 40 lb bag of play sand, pool noodle, height adjustable tent pole and small foam ball from dollar store.cut a hole in the centre of plastic pail lidcut a criss cross in the foam ball to put over the pointy part of the tent pole that meets the roof topcut the pool noodle about 6 inches shorter than the depth of the pail, the pool noodle prevents the sand from filling in the tent pole hole when pole is removed.works great, plus the pail can double as a small table or foot stool.Update June 19, 2022. We had a major winds yesterday all day.. the wind gusts up to 40 mph wrecked the orange foam ball at the top of my tent pole inside the tent, tipped over the 40lb pail of play sand, then of course the roof collapsed. I took the tent pole out, left the roof down. Went back to the Clam website and found this:We recommend using the provided tether ropes and stakes for securing your shelter. Tie the rope to the eyebolt on the outside of the shelter and secure to the stake approx. 6-10” away from the bottom of the ground skirt. Tether further than the recommended placement creates a bad angle and removes tension from the shelter; potentially causing unwanted roof collapse. We further recommend additional stakes on the inside corners (through the metal grommets) for added placement stability. (NOTE: Stakes are provided for one full form of securement and we recommend they be used with the tether ropes outside the shelter.)My tether ropes were at about a 45˚ angle. Pulled up the stakes moved them to no more than 1 foot from the tent skirt. Popped the roof back up. This morning the roof is still up. I do hope this will work, I find the collapsing roof to be a major nuisance. We use it for a backyard gazebo every day. I can't imagine trying to camp with this tent using it to sleep in or eat in especially if you get a wind/rain storm, when you need the shelter the most the roof collapses.. sheesh...

Loving it so far- watch the set up video before you try the first time
Watch a video on how to set up and fold down the shelter before you open the bag. Everyone saying it came "backwards" or inside out clearly didn't watch the video. It's not really intuitive either but very simple once you've seen how.To get the tent up and functional is literally two minutes. Maybe a bit longer the very first time because it comes with the flaps zipped down and you have to unzip at least one side of the flap to reach the pull at the center of the walls. If you've got a chance of wind, staking it down on the corners and/or putting ropes off each center pull would probably be a good idea. I bought a set of carabeaners for the center pull ropes so it's easy to put the curtains up and down without having to undo the lines each time.Do measure your car before buying, make sure you've got a long enough, straight spot to keep it see traveling. It fits sitting on the center console in our car, with about a foot to spare from the end of the trunk to the dash. So we were calling it a bit close.A tall or long reached person is an advantage for pack up- so they can reach around all the fabric. Reusing the fabric ties the tent comes bound in (in the bag) helps make it getting back in the bag easier. And the fit into the bag is a bit snug and the tent won't slide up or down once it's in. If the zips won't work, reposition the tent in the bag by taking it out and putting it in again.Overall pricy purchase but I am pleased with it so far. Though it did make putting up our regular tent feel like a huge chore in comparison!

Goodby pesky mosquitoes
I watched a lot of YouTube review of this product & it is very convenient. I’m 5’1” & it is difficult to pop the roof up as I’m too small. I need to use a stick long enough. When you first use it it is stiff & more difficult to pop the side & roof but with only a few time (3), it is easier. It is a bit on the heavy side & it would be difficult for me to put it on my roof top, my husband does it for me.The side panel are very nice for privacy on campground or to protect from wind or rain. For those of us living where mosquitoes ruins our evening this is the product to get. I highly recommend this product.

Love, Love, Love!
This tent is awesome! Our very first time using it we experienced heavy rain with high gusts of wind for an extended period of time. The tent did not collapse in the rain or the wind. Very little rain came in and only because we had left some window shades open to allow wind to blow through. We love the zip up panels. One thing to note is that when you “tie down” via the side hooks, you may need to remove the tie down to lower or raise the panel which is no biggy, but something to remember if you need the panels down to put them down before tieing off, or vice versa. We do need a stool to bring the roof down as we aren’t the tallest folks around. A pull cord would be perfect and we will find something to attach for ease of take down. We do plan on buying the rain canopy for the roof as I know we will be sleeping in there when we attend festivals, etc. A high five to Clam for making this so easy to set up. I sure hope this tent lasts us for many, many years!

Colour faded quick
The green turned to a faded brownish colour. It was not in the sun more than 72 hours Total when we noticed it changing colour. If we wanted brown, we would have ordered brown. Other than that, works great.
