MECO(TM) Pet Dog Belt Car Automotive Seat Safety (Deep/Sky Blue)

These are great for keeping my wandering dog contained in the car. The lead is a little short for my (our) liking but it does the job.One thing I need to impress upon you is not to use these in the front seat. Most cars will engage the airbag when the buckle is inserted so make sure the pooch is in the back as the force of the airbag in an accident could be fatal.In all, I mostly find that I use the clip to keep my dog from rooting around in things he shouldn't while I'm focused on driving.

I'm not sure that this would do anything to actually save your pet in an accident but it is nice to have so that they aren't wandering around the car too much while you're trying to drive. I've got a small dog so this seat belt is actually too long. Even at its shortest and knotted, my dog can hop into my lap if he's in the passenger front seat. It was cheap and so far the dog hasn't done too much car travel but when he does, I will definitely invest in something a bit more protective.

This is great! I am not sure how it is regarding safety and car accidents, but it provides other safety in the car. I am able to buckle my dogs onto the backseat with their harness, and it prevents them from jumping in the front seat, or falling off the seat.So far, so great! Simple solution.

This thing is great! So simple to use. I use it for my 25lb puppy in the back seat. 99% of the time I use it with a halter on him but today I was in a rush and wasnt going far so I used his collar. It extends decently far and is quality material. Definitely happy with this purchase.

I use this with my smaller dog (10 lbs) and it works great. I have a stronger 50 lb. dog I haven't tried with this yet. I feel it would work fine but my dog is really strong and I'm more concerned with her jerking and yanking, possibly breaking the seat belt mechanism in my car. Took about 3 weeks to receive but I was informed in advance so that part didn't bother me. I told my mom about it and she ordered one too. Can't beat the price! Thanks!

Clearly a product of China.....VERY poor quality! Would not recommend this product due to the thin, flimsy metal that the seat-belt latch is made out of - couldn't be any more than 1/32" thick. If you think this would keep a dog locked into a seat belt, you need to think again! I would not even risk using it.....went into the trash upon receipt, as I could only imagine the return nightmare. It took so long to even get it, I had forgotten I even ordered it! Must have been on that 'slow boat from China' I always hear about....lol.

Love this thing. Keeps my dog where I put him and reduces my guilt of what could happen if we were involved in an accident. Also, keeps him in his seat when I stop the car as he would tend to jump from the back to the front...and back. This kind of activity is not good for leather seats.

I have a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz LT and I was concerned the claps would not work with my seat belts. They did, now I can drive knowing my dogs are both safe in their harnesses with these clasps to the seat belts. Would highly recommend!
