TRIXIEPet Products Gandia Cat Tree, cream, medium (44551)

I bought a cat tree for my cats not considering that my older cat (16) might have issues climbing it. He liked when I put him up there but was too scared to get down himself. So, enter this senior cat tree! I was able to place it right next to the other tree and it's perfect for him. He's also a big cat (18 lbs) and the hammock is the perfect size. It's well made and relatively easy to assemble. Very happy with this purchase!

As soon as I finish putting it together my kitten climbed in. Doesn’t seem like it will last very long though. The assembly directions were terrible. However, my kitten loves it so I will definitely purchase it again.

I loved everything about it. Unfortunately I did have to return it because my cat is too big 🙄Recommend for medium small cat. And the cozy tube has crinkle material inside - every cats delight 😉

Just as the title states the cat is happy with this! The negative is the assembly instructions are terrible. The instructions should state which order the parts are installed.

The photo shows my 11 pound black cat absolutely filling up the hammock. Upon arrival, the box was in terrible shape and falling apart, but nothing was damaged or missing. Assembly was surprisingly difficult, as the screw for the base of the wall seems too short (but it actually works), and because of the odd shape of the wall with the curve at the top and the hammock attached to it, it was very difficult to line up the holes in order to get it to screw together. Overall, I was actually impressed by the tunnel and disappointed in the hammock. Even though my 11 pound cat refuses to go into the tunnel (he’ll go halfway in to get a treat), he does fit with plenty of room. The opening at the wall is about 7 inches diameter and 8 inches diameter at the end of the tunnel by the scratching post. I think the ridiculous amount of excess fabric on the inside of the tunnel deters both my cats from using it. And yes, it is a crinkly tunnel. The hammock is attached to the wall on the two edges by string? and otherwise the rim sits on a fabric-covered block of wood to support it. The other end is sandwiched between the scratching post. The rim at the wall constantly falls below that block of wood, and I’m surprised the string hasn’t broken yet under his weight. He seems fond of it though. Even if it doesn’t hold up, it was a cheap enough buy.

2/28 update: This seller is TERRIFIC as customer service goes. I had a small issue and reached out to TRIXIE Pets and they addressed it ASAP. I haven't see that kind of service in a long time. The Cat tree is great for my 3 legged kitty. He is a bigger cat and he fits fine in the hammock and the steps help him get to the hammock and down. If you have a senior Cat or a physically challenged kitty this is well worth the money and very well made.I just purchased this for my senior 3 legged kitty. Delivery was fast and product is nice and tower seems sturdy however the hammock frame inside the hammock is broken. I have reached out to Trixie in hopes they will send a replacement part for free as this is a new purchase. I will update this review once its resolved.

I bought one of these in 2016 and it still is completely structurally sound. No fabric ripping or pieces coming apart. It’s for my mother’s cats which are declawed (shame) so take that in to account but it has a scratching so I’m sure it lasts so clawed cats. I bought her the same one because it was getting a little matted. Still worked great but I bought a fresher one. Now she has two which get used every day. EVERY DAY. And one of her cats is the size of a big raccoon and the other is the size of a small Volkswagen and somehow these structures still stand. A modern marvel of human engineering or just a well made product? You decide but fat cats love it.

I got this to replace the Trixie Baza Gandia, and this is much better. The two scratching posts are sturdy and securely support the hammock.When you first get it, it may seem like the hammock is too tight, but over a couple days, as my cat layed in it, it sank a bit, looking more like the picture. It has held together and shows no sign of damage.

It's very very cute, fluffy and of subtle colour.My cat seemed to be scared of it at first, but is slowly getting used to it. He is a bit of a coward anyway so it's not due to the product itself.Was very easy to assemble, but there were no instructions so you gotta figure out by yourself which screw goes where (each has a different size!). But as said, it is not rocket science and any average-intelligence specie should not have problems assembling it.

THE GRANDIA SCRATCHING POST WAS A CHRISTMAS PRESCNT FOR MY KITTEN AND SHE LOVES IT SHE LIKES PLAYING IN IT RUNNING THROUGH THE TUNNEL HAVING A GOOD SCRATCH ON THE POST BUT MOST OF ALL SHE LOVES TO CURL UP AND HAVE A NICE SLEEP

This is the second one of these scratching posts I have Had My cats love it. One criticism , I wish you could take the hammock off easily and wash it. Very pleased with it, and it was delivered very promptly

Within three days my cats had pulled the string down the cardboard tube as there wasn't sufficient string on the tube - there is now several inches of exposed cardboard at the top. I find this quite poor quality for something that originally cost £50.00. If at all possible I would like a replacement tube to be sent to me.

Arrived safely packaged. It was bought to replace old one, cat loves it.
