Nice scale

I use this to measure my ingredients in my kitchen, and so far it works well. It has a tare function, so you can set a small container on it and zero it out so that you don't have to factor the weight of the container. Its backlit too, so that is nice, makes it easy to read. It also has an auto shut off to keep from draining the battery. I like that it folds up for storage. Measures to .01 grams, so you can be pretty precise. I think it maxes at 100g, but I have never had higher than 30g, so I can't really comment on that. I would recommend getting a set of weights to check it and calibrate. You can get them for a pretty low price. I got the ones that were suggested with the scale, and I think they were 7 USD. Pretty cheap and you get plenty to check it (I just use the 5g weight, and that is fine). I suppose you could just use a Nickle, they weight 5g, but you have no way of knowing that it is accurate that way, as the weight of the Nickle can vary.

So, far, I really like this little scale. I've only had it for about a week and used it one time, but so far, so good. I purchased it for the purpose of weighing out fecal matter (gross, I know) from my farm animals for the purpose of doing regular fecal tests to check for worms/worm eggs under a microscope. I've had no problems with it, although it was scratched and had a small tiny dent on the electronic face upon arrival. But it seems to work just fine, although buyers should be aware that although it has a calibration feature, it does not come with a 100 gram calibration weight. My bigger concern, however, lies in that the instructions accompanying the product state that the product comes with a 10-year warranty and in order to obtain the Warranty Terms and Conditions, the buyer is supposed to send an email to [email protected]. I first tried to find the company on the Internet, but to no avail. It's doesn't appear in any search. After several tries, I thought this may be because the product is made in China. So then, following their written instructions, I sent an email to the email address included in the instructions, requesting the Warranty Terms and Conditions. Within minutes, I received a message stating that delivery of my email had failed permanently, domain name not found. So now, I suppose I just have to hope that the product lives up to it's promises for at least 10 years, as the manufacturer doesn't seem to exist. As stated, I like the scale so far, but I dislike the fact that it seems I am unable to trust the manufacturer of this product, whoever it might be, and that there is no 10-year warranty, as their instructions state.

A nice looking piece of work! Fit and finish are near perfect. Works right out of the box (after unblocking the included batteries). Measured a few 1 to 60 gram weights (I've had since I was a kid with a chemistry set) very accurately. It requires 100 or 200 gram test weights for calibration but, since I don't have these, I'm happy to just go with the factory settings. My only complaint would be with the little rubber feet which, as others have mentioned, have a tendency to fall off, leaving the scale unbalanced. I super-glued the one that would not stay on and may do the same with the rest. Otherwise, I'm amazed at the quality and value this scale offers.

Works as it should

Great quality for a small portable scale. Very dependable with consistent readings and impressive sensitivity given its maximum capacity (of 1000g). Works great for relatively small-portioned items such as tea, coffee, and spices. Portability makes it just as useful away from home. Ready to use out of the box but easy to re-calibrate whenever necessary with any 500g weight (sold separately). The auto shut-off / battery-saving feature sometimes gets in the way, annoyingly turning off the scale while in the middle of weighing items that needs more time / effort to handle.

I have bought several digital scales for reloading and have been disappointed with the performance of all of them drifting, not staying zeroed etc.., and just went back to the balance beam scales, gravity doesn't lie. My wife bought this little scale for some of the vitamins she makes for herself and I thought I would just check this little value priced scale to double check my balance beam. I was blown away just how well this ;ittle scale worked so bought one for my own use. I have been using it every day for over a week and it has been fantastic. When you re-scale a charge by lifting it off the scale then replacing back on it gives the same reading constantly, holds zero and tares well and stays. Highly recommend, and has worked better than scales costing 15X more. Very pleased.
