Absolutely Astounded
When I first purchased this amp, I was very hesitant due to it's lack of in depth reviews and it not being a product from a big name brand like Pioneer, Alpine, or Kenwood. Let me tell you something, this amp KICKS BUTT. After weeks of researching, I decided to run a JVC head unit (the KD-R730BT) with Monoprice.com RCAs, 2 sets of Infinity Kappa 6829CF 6x9 Speakers, some 14 gauge speaker wire, and this amplifier (sub to be added soon, will update review when I do). Just to be safe, I ran 4 gauge wire to the amp that I bought from a local stereo shop. Seriously go to the professionals to get your wire and fuse box, you never know the quality of the stuff you're going to get online and the LAST thing you want is your car burning to the ground. Run a 100A fuse and you should be fine with this amp.Pros:Price -- this amp is super cheap for the product and quality you're getting.Sub Gain Knob -- this amp comes with a subwoofer gain knob so you can boost your punchy bass while you don't have your mids and highs through the roof.Built in High/Low Pass Filters -- pretty much self explanatory, this amp has built in high and low pass filters so you can fine tune your setup to sound the best when you're running subs and mid/high speakers.Barely gets warm -- even under the seat of my Focus, this thing blasts away for hours without getting hot. It's a bit warm, but you can keep your hand on it even after playing it for a long time.Cons:Size -- while not too much of an issue, this product is a bit on the big side, especially if you're putting it in a smaller vehicle. I have a Ford Focus ZX3 (the little hatchback) and I didn't want to mount this sucker to the rear seat, so I threw it under the passenger seat. From there it peeks out just a bit, but nothing too bad.Things to keep in mind:-- Go with a good quality amp power wire and fuse box.-- Like another reviewer said, some of the switches are reversed, particularly the RCA input voltage switches.-- If you're rewiring your car speakers, to keep them at 2 Ohms make sure to run 14 gauge wire for anything under 20 ft and make sure to run 12 gauge wire for anything over that.-- Keep in mind this sucker is big, almost 20" long and 10" wide, so plan where you're gonna put it accordingly.I've had this product for about 2 weeks and I can't believe how I ever listened to my stock stereo. Absolutely the best thing I could have done to my car.In wrap up, don't be afraid when buying this product like I was; you'll be absolutely blown away (almost literally) by the quality of this product. In two words: It's awesome.

This 5 channel amp is perfect for old school audio guys on a budget!
This amplifier truly delivers and has all the features advanced audio tech demands. It is quite power hungry so make sure you have a remote interrupt and take your vehicles charging and battery into consideration, lest you be walking. But if you do it smart this amp will blow you away.I find that it allows pigtail connections to high pass which I was happy with, but do wish the gauge of the pig tail on high pass adapter would have been a bit thicker. I tinned the leads anyway but even so.I managed to tune this amp without the help of a meter so I'd say its design is intuitive and the high and low pass ability of the amp is superb. The dual on board cross overs eliminate the need for external, it can be bridged although with an amp this powerful you'll need to know what you're doing to run it fully bridged (pop goes the speaker).I found that if you use plumbing grade rubber washers under your mount surface and dynamat everything passing the amp you can get ultra clean sound. It took me a while to get the tuning just right, but the dynamic on board DSP in the JVC deck I'm using was more than enough to get the quality I want.I used 16g speaker wire, low sodium oxide copper, and I went from the JVC head out via high pass pigtails and wired all new speaker wire back to the speakers and the amplifier rather than using an LOC and existing cheesy factory wiring. It did involve removing the panels and fishing the wire, but I ran it down the opposite side of the passenger compartment door channels from the Power and ground leads, and grounded the amp gozilla style to the frame directly, and the sound is crystal clear there's not even white noise.Off the shelf Pyle blue woofers and a kicker pro-comp T box gave me everything I needed.I did have to call support once to confirm I had my high pass wiring and bridge set up correctly. Their techs were fast and on the ball. The best part is you might think I work for Planet Audio but I never even heard of them before. The last time I installed an amp like this was a Rockford Fosgate Mosfet back in the late 80's.

Very nice!! Solid 5 channel.
--2011 Ford Escape--First off, my setup included:Kenwood Excelon 890HDThis AmpRaptor (1 Farad) CapacitorKenwood KFCXW800F (8" subwoofer to replace the OEM 8" woofer)Front Speaker: Infinity Reference 6830cs (Component system - tweeters installed at top corners of door, closest to the front windshield)Rear Speakers: Infinity Reference 6832cf4Guage Wiring kit (WIRING DIAGRAM: battery>fuse>CAP 12v> AMP 12v --Cap and Amp individually grounded)The amp is fantastic. It has the ability for any type of system configuration. You can use one RCA input or all 3 and it works fantastically. For the fine-tuning, the normal fine tunings are all there. The added subwoofer control is nice, but i left it in the cargo area (keep my car looking as stock as possible) I shielded all the cables coming into the cargo area and added some LED lights for night-time tweaks. There was, however, a CONSIDERABLE amount of noise. I attribute this to routing the power/audio cables on the same side (I know bad, but that was the best way i could have). Anywho, it has a 'sensitivity' toggle (from mV to V). Most noise is from 200mV to 1.5V, so toggling the switch to the higher voltage sensitivity fixed the noise altogether. This does decrease the high-end volume of the speakers, but nothing cranking the output cant handle if you need to. I cant add pictures to this review, so i cant help it that area, but if anyone needs any advice, feel free to comment!
