The direction in the manual can be pretty confusing, but once you understand the basic functions it becomes very easy. Just make sure you have compatible flashes and you'll be able to control each flash manually from the controller as well as use TTL with ev steps. I tested it with a SB-700, SB-400 and YN-468 II. It worked flawlessly in TTL and manually. Was able to easily adjust the flash settings having them in 3 different groups. Just leave your flashes on TTL mode and the controller on manual and have at it. The only down side to this that I can see is that the LCD screen is facing up. So if you're on a tripod you're going to have to tilt the camera back to see the display and change settings. I deducted one star for that. I think they did this, actually I don't know why you would do this as it hurts it for studio and tripod shoots, but I think they did it to stream line the bulk. That's the only reason I could figure doing this. P.S. the range is FANTASTIC. I set it up on a tripod, walked down the street and they triggered at over 800 feet.

I've tried Yongnuo RF-603, Cowboystudio NPT-04, and now these on my D700. Stopping a shoot to adjust each flash manually and not being able to sync faster than 1/250th became annoying to my clients and myself after awhile.It seems these are hard to find as of now. I got lucky and found them here.It took me about 1/2 hour to figure these out. Looking at tutorials on YouTube was helpful. They are fairly easy to operate. The AF assist beam is handy to have but it aims a bit too high. The super sync is great to have. They work fine and it's a relief not having to walk back and forth to each flash anymore.Buy these!

I am not a professional so I did not really need to spend a lot of money on some of the more expensive wireless trigger systems. I purchased this from Each Shot. It arrived much quicker than expected, and so far it has worked flawlessly. The range is amazing too. Just to test it out, I was at the back of the house, and I had my son go out into the front yard,close the door, and walk about 60' from the front door. The flash fired every time. He also went upstairs into another room, around several corners while I remained downstairs. Again it fired every time. Exposure seems consistent as well.

I can't help laughing at the people who pay five or $600 for the Nikon equivalent to these flash controllers. I literally took these out of the box, installed the batteries, installed them on my camera and flash, and began taking perfect TTL exposures. There is nothing bad to say about these controllers. For my basic one camera, one flash set up, I did not even need to look at the instructions.Yes, they shipped from China, but that should not worry you. Mine arrived in approximately 10 days. The funny thing was, they arrived a month prior to the delivery date Amazon gave me.

I already owned two YN-622N Transceivers that I was using with the Nikon DSLR lighting system. But this new purchase now allows me even better performance and control. The big benefit is that connectivity between the YN-622N-TX controller and the 3 transceivers is reliable even in difficult situations where line of sight is not attainable. The Yongnuo controller takes the place of Nikon's "commander" and works the same way. In fact, I found it easier to use. And it has performed flawlessly. I am very pleased. It just works!
