- EASY TO USE - Dust the proofing basket with flour, including the bottom and sides. Do this over a cloth, your flour bucket or a wastebasket, as much of the flour will sift through. It is also recommended that you keep a cloth or baking sheet under the basket while moving it, and when the bread is rising, to catch any excess flour. Once fully risen, the dough easily drops onto your baking surface. For proofing very wet doughs, as called for with popular no-knead bread recipes, the optional line
- EASY TO CLEAN – Your basket should not need much cleaning. Simply shake the excess flour out after each use. If dough has stuck to the basket or liner, wait until it dries fully, then use a stiff, dry brush to scrape it off. If, for some reason, you feel you need to clean your basket (or before the first use!) use a stiff brush and warm water (no soap!) and allow it to air dry at room temperature. While it is preferable to hand wash the linen liner, it is machine washable (on a gentle cycle).

Very nice proofing basket
Good quality product made of good material. I'm not sure how it compares to other bread proofing baskets but it's nice that this one comes with a cloth and a scrapper.

Easy transfer
This makes it easy to roll your bread dough out. My husband uses a cast iron dutch oven to bake his sourdough in and this allows him to handle the dough less. He just lets it raise the last time in the bowl and rolls it directly from the bowl to the pan. Works great.
