Although I don't have any kids right now, all mine being grown, there is an entire generation, my grown children who have kids of their own, so I got this book. After the why essential oils and the safety tips, Dr.Ozz tells us about the uses for the various essential oils. For pain and fever, a good nights sleep and for colds and the flu. I like his final chapter entitled oils that every mother should have. He comes up with the top 10 oils, which is good because there are so many of them. Lavender tops the list. It not only have a nice scent, it's relatively inexpensive, available everywhere, and works for quite a few maladies. Scratches, minor burns, rashes, sore tummies, headache and is good for a peaceful night's sleep. He has 9 more such as Chamomile and Tea Tree. He advises us to look for 100% pure essential oils as well.

I thought essential oils are just essential oils that can be bought in the supermarket. It's good that Dr. Ozz was able to clarify that the label should say "Therapeutic Grade" or "100% Pure" and we are assured we are getting the right oil to use for our family. As I am not a fan of natural remedies, as vain as any man can be, I want a natural form of maintenance for my face. Reading the age group oil concentration is a comprehensive guide to know what the right oil and right amount to use. Starting with a 1.5% concentration and eventually up to 3% to use on the face is worth a try. For adults, there are a lot of anti-stress blends recommended by Dr. Ozz - stress reliever at the comfort of your own home.

I never tried essential oils with my two sons; I started using aromatherapy with my third son. You can really see the difference; my third son is less prone to allergies and sickness. The glow in his skin is very noticeable. So I decided to try it with my elder kids, I thought to myself that it is not yet late to change from conventional medicine to aromatherapy. The changes are amazing; not just for health reasons but they are now more active and doing well in school, they are also able to sleep well at night. The book increased my knowledge of essential oils especially the safety tips in using it and the proper dilution.

This book is a very comprehensive guide to using essential oils for children packed ful of useful tips and a recipe collection. It explains what to consider when purchasing essential oils, it shows you how to make your own essential oil mixtures for various problems, like eczema, dry skin, acne, stress, pain, insomnia, toothaches, fever, infections and so on. It is a very good read, good structured and everything is well explained. If you want your children - and yourself - staying healthy and happy, I highly recommend this book.

Great book. I just started using essential oils and I didn't want to keep going to the internet for dilution instructions and what to use for kids so I decided to buy this book. Very well explained. Author does love using lavender and chamomile but honestly those seem to be the most obvious safe oils on children and babies. Would recommend.

This book is truly packed with information. It goes into details on the uses of essential oils for various ailments and situations of the kid. I love how in depth she gets about how to work with essential oils and work with smells to make healing scents.

I am giving two stars at the moment because it has no page numbers or an easy way to find the topic you are looking for in a easy manner.
