My 7 year old loved this as a gift. The book itself is very cute. The lock mechanism is cheap and easily breakable. Which I expected the lock to flimsy because it's a run of the mill suitcase lock. However the metal braces which holds the lock in place is actually quite sturdy. I'd definitely but it again.

This journal/diary is very pretty, sturdy and best of all, it has a key for privacy! What a great way to get girls to start writing.

I purchased this for my 7 year old daughter. I showed her how the sequins worked and she loves it. She will sit there and play with the sequins for quite a while...so that's a definite plus! The only part I didn't like is that some of the sequins get stuck after a few times of playing with them. Of course, they are sequins, so I didn't expect much. Cute idea and a great gift item. Good product for the price, just manage your expectations on perfection.
