Quality bird seed, all the birds love it! Pure sunflower chips! And I think the price is excellent! I have many, many types of birds and they flock to my feeder! They also store well! Would highly recommend!!!

Best deal around for sunflower chips! The birds love them and the product is always consistent. I purchase this bag every few months or whenever I run out. I use more in the winter time as my feathered friends can use the added fat and calories when there is less forageable food.

This is the second time we ordered this, very pleased with the quality and packaging. Birds love it, we're in the Midwest and get the usual common birds like sparrows, blue jays, cardinals, mourning doves, a few other ones and a squirrel occasionally. We try not to overfeed them and not to get them too dependent and by skipping a day here and there it also makes it last longer, there is a good amount of clean seed hearts in this product. Its a small price to pay to be able to see and hear birds up close.

In all of the years I've been feeding backyard birds, I had never heard of these shelled sunflower hearts and chips. Not only are they SO much cleaner than the oil sunflower seeds I've been purchasing, but they attract many more birds to my backyard. There's absolutely no clean up of shells, and the goldfinches and purple finches are constantly on the feeder. When spread on my patio, the chips attract robins, doves, cardinals, wrens, song sparrows, and even a variety of squirrels. This product is perfect!!! If you want to feed the birds in your backyard without the mess of seeds in shells, this is what you need!

For most of my orders, the seed has seemed fresh and clean, with plenty of whole seeds and no bits of debris or stowaway critters. It's well known that doves love sunflower hearts, and while we knew we had doves in our neighborhood, they never came to our place, which had been previously colonized solely by various finches and the occasional crow. But here's a cautionary tale for those who put out this seed for smaller birds like finches: when a solo dove started to visit, we thought, "Oh, how lovely," unaware that single, gentle dove would soon bring its friends and family and apparently, foes. We now have a twice-daily (morning and early evening) flutter-fest, fights for feeder dominance and daft doves crashing into our windows. They'll also eat you out of house and home, deprive the neighborhood finches of their share of the seed, and will repay you by dropping huge splats of glue-like dove-doo everywhere. Still, they've come to rely on our feeding station, and we don't want to deter them. These seeds are such a hit that at certain times of the year, we're now getting birds whose habitat is usually much farther afield. Since my initial order, I've placed many reorders, and will continue to do so. With the exception of two orders in the spring of 2025, in which there were no whole seeds at all -- just very small fragments of seed -- subsequent reorders now have mostly whole sunflower kernels again. But regardless of whether you get whole seeds, a combination of fragments and seeds or just small pieces, a wide variety of birds enjoy them, so expect your "guest" list to grow, and your orders to increase.
