My husband put a floor in the bathroom,he used it around the toilet, the water pipes and the door.Made things SO MUCH faster.Helpful hints-1-Push your hand across the back when pressing the front against the object you want to cut out. If you don't it's not as accurate, at least that's what we found to be true.#2- Press down firmly on it when you are tracing the shape that it made, otherwise the little pieces will move on you. The only thing that would make this a better item is if it was longer because like with the floor they're 8 Inches wide, so it would have been helpful if this was at least that long but it still worked really well! This will definitely be used anytime we're doing any sort of project now.

Because I only needed it once I bought cheap and got what I paid for. It is sturdy. The problem I have with it, when you use it, and because the way it is made, each guide pin does not move independently. You need to use your other fingers to push the guide pins out to the shape you need. I have used good ones, and I had bought a different one.

As a less than mediocre do-it-yourselfer, I was incredulous to find out such a tool as this even existed. It molds around odd shapes when you need to cut flooring around a door or wall. It is so dang easy to use. When I think of the endless hours I spent trying to use a paper pattern, oh brother. I am a 68 year old woman and I only now found out. I wish I had taken shop in school instead of stupid home ec.

Wish the tool had a locking device once you have your cut. Have to move slowly and make sure the tool doesn’t move or get bumped against an thing before getting your measurements.

Thought this would be a helpful tool. Havent ended up using it much, but has worked few times I did. Seems a bit flimsy, could be made out of stronger material. Price was a little high for quality of product.

Does the job.. It’s worth the cost, but that’s about all, if you’re looking for detail, you’ll need one with smaller teeth.. and there is no bar that holds or locks the pattern in place, which is a pain. But, what can you expect for $5..

This item is definitely convenient and saves a lot of hassle. You could potentially be off a millimeter amount because of the thickness of the individual plastic pieces but that should be expected. The device is thick and sturdy, heavy duty. Saves a lot of time going back and forth to get the shape just right.

The size is very small. That is partly my fault as I obviously missed that in the description. Being that small however, makes it hard to use. Also, the fingers are kind of large which makes detailed measurements hard and inaccurate.
