A GREAT replacement pump at less than 1/3 of the cost!
I installed our pondless waterfall in the fall of 2021. It's a great water feature for our front yard and we greatly enjoy having it. The pondless waterfall came as a kit which included an Aquasurge 2000 submersible pump rated at 2000 GPH. That pump, which I reviewed under "Aquasurge 2000" is a great pump. Unfortunately, in a little over 3 years of service I've now had two pumps go bad and, at a cost of over $300 it becomes an expensive maintenance cost. After many hours of research, I decided to give the Vivosun 3000 a chance. The waterfall has been out of service for a week and when the pump arrived today I got to work. the Vivosun 3000 is noticeably smaller than the Aquasurge 2000, so I was immediately skeptical that it would deliver 3000 GPH. But, it seems very well made and has a solid feel, so if it at least equaled the output of the pump I was replacing, I'd be happy. The discharge port on the Vivosun is the same size as on the Aquasurge, but sits 2-1/4" lower. The easy-enough fix was to fashion a stand-off, using spare PVC parts I had on hand. This raised the port to the same height as the Aquasurge, and made attaching the Vivosun to the waterfall supply line a "plug and play" replacement. After connecting the pump to the waterfall supply line, the moment of truth had arrived. Will the $75.00 Vivosun 3000 give at least the same performance as the much more expensive $320 Aquasurge 2000? I have to say, I was actually excited when I plugged the pump in and watched the waterfall come back to life!! And the answer to the question "Does it work and is it worth it" is a resounding YES! I don't have a way to measure the actual flow-rate, but the waterfall certainly is more robust than with the old pump. This was an easy replacement (with a few extra steps needed to build a riser platform). It performs wonderfully, and saved a good deal of $$ in the process. If this pump, running 12 hours a day, 24/7 on a timer as the old one did, lasts a year or more it will be well worth the cost. At this point I highy recommend this pump for my type of application. Good job Vivosun!

Good product at good price with good warranty service
I have had my garden pond with two water falls for almost 20 years. The pumps have limited time spans, usually no more than 3 to 5 years. As a result, I have gone through quite a few pumps. About two years ago, I checked a few low cost pumps with one year warranty sold on Amazon. Because these pumps are inexpensive, I thought if they can work more than one year, it will be worth it. I tried three pumps with different brands. One of them was broken just after one year. The other did not work satisfactory but my attempt to get it replaced was not successful. This Vivosun pump worked for over a year without problem. As it is out of warranty, I bought another two in 2021 and leave it as a back-up unit. Recently, one of them started showing some strange behavior. Even though I made sure there is no debris inside the volute chamber around the impeller, the water output rate became lower and sometimes it would stop then restart again. In one morning, I noticed that the GFCI circuit breaker got tripped and the two pump stopped working. I determined that it is the problem of the pump with strange behavior lately and replaced it with the spare pump. Then everything works fine. After I brought it back to my garage, I measured the pump with a multimeter and found its internal resistance was only less then 5 Ohms while the same good pump is over 10 Ohms. It was obvious to me that the pump had some shortage in its motor windings. I contacted Vivosun customer service. After told them the problem by showing the photo that the winding resistance is low, they determined it is indeed the problem of their pump. In three days, they told me that as it is under warranty, they would refund the price that I paid back to Amazon and I don't need to send the pump back. This experience was better than what I had expected. I feel that I can trust them on the product and the customer service. The other two pumps from them works fine with no problems. The water output rates are what I can expect for pumps with a power rating of about 300 Watts. Cleaning these pumps is also quite simple. Overall, I am happy about this product (Vivosun 5300GPH). I also feel that I can trust their warranty service. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a low price submersible pump at this water output. I will give update in a few months about their conditions.

Great product, super quiet. It has been installed for 2 days now and no issues. Replaced little giant 5-MSP pump, much quieter and , 1/2 the price. The little giant pumps kept failing just after 1 year when the warranty was over, the pump would continuously trip the GFI breaker. Will see how this one lasts.
