80s stories that really didn't stand the test of time
In a 1980's book review, I would have cheerfully given this five stars. But times change, tastes charge, and most of all readers tend to develop the more they read. I read these stories when they were first released, I think through Harlequin. But neither of them conform to the morals (for lack of a better term) of today.Today, in this cancel culture that exists to shame someone into existence, these men would have been shamed. But you know what? I was IN the 1980's and we didn't look at things with a magnifying glass, we tended to take things as they happened a whole lot better than the current generations are doing. We changed things as we went but we didn't try to grind people into the ground. So ... when you are reading this remember when this was written and that this was acceptable behavior then.I probably enjoyed these stories better way back when but I wanted to re-read them anyway.

Not up to what I expected of Howard. She's usually better with the characters and the stories

obviously written early in authors career. Just didn't hold my interest, so silly , nothing like her later books which I love.
