Hops is a bine rather than a vine. It needs a rough surface to grip to climb upward towards the sun and coconut coir twine is the gold standard. I used 16' lengths of this stuff to provide a climbing surface for my hops growing in a windy location. Not a one failed during the summer. I heartily recommend.

Using as hop growing lines for my small scale hop yard. product has a nice tight rope weave and makes nice tight guy knots. where lengths are joined, there is a 5-1/2 to 6 inch Weave tie in. Diameter of line has good uniformity. Now for the good part. I was paying nearly twice as much for 1100 foot from other source and the quality of there line was no where near the quality of this line. if you are growing any type of tall climbing plants that need more support, then this is the line for you! Highly recommended for Hop growing enthusiasts!

Growing hops you will need a twine for them to grow up. The advantage of this product is you get to choose the length of strings you would like to have your hops grow up. Durable and will not have to worry about the wind causing the twine to break. Great buy!
