How this is so effective at all times, i don't know! it's just brilliant. My son loves his too. It really makes the air warm as you breathe it in. The only problem was our goggles misted up at certain speeds but i'm not sure what you can do about that (will try a demister). Really comfortable and someone even manages not to flatten your hair!

My order arrived quickly. I am very pleased with it however I leave four stars because the internal wash and info label is positioned in the wrong place and is too long. I had to remove it which left a tiny hole in the stitching but I have had it now more than 5 months. It has been tried and tested in every condition. I've got to say no other full face mask I know is this thin yet it prevents wind to get through. Worn with proper eye weary is perfect! Every cyclist needs this and the Matching Gore gloves. I have tried and tested many different types of cyclist head gear for warmth and weather resilience and this is by far the best. I promise you'll not be dissapointed

I wanted my face covered against the cold when cycling but still be able to breathe well. The balaclava has holes for mouth breathing and a vent just below the nose. However, wearing cycling glasses results in total fog when you start breathing heavily. I had to stop and take my glasses off. Thinking I might try an old pair of swim goggles instead or ski goggles. I also found that the material below the nose area got very soggy as my nose just streamed with being semi-enclosed. The material is thinner than expected and it’s difficult to pull and off as a tight fit round the neck. I think a buff pulled up would work more efficiently.

Great at keeping the chill off. But does steam up your glasses

Was not expecting to like this as much as I do. It's been great all winter long – I rode it cycling about 12 miles every day, w/ ski goggles and a bike helmet. It saw sub-freezing temps, snow/slush/rain, and just kept on working perfectly. I only washed it a handful of times, but it seems to be holding up great. When the wind gets going, I honestly can't feel it at all, especially combined with the goggles. The vent holes in the mouth are perfectly sized/positioned, so as not to let too much heat out or wind in, but enough for me to breathe some fresh air. As some reviewers have stated, it's a tight fit - I have a pretty normal size head, and it's the absolute perfect size for me. I could see someone w/ a larger head get frustrated trying to get this thing on and especially off. Smaller/Medium heads this will work just fine.

Ich bin begeistert. Nach langem Zögern, da immer wieder geschrieben wurde, dass die Sturmhaube sehr klein ausfallen würde, habe ich mich dann irgendwann doch zum Kauf entschieden. Das permanente Rutschen der anderen Gore Gesichtsmaske hat einfach zu sehr gestört. Die Haube wird grösstenteils beim 1-stündigen S-Pedelec pendeln verwendet. Ich habe einen Kopfumfang von 62 und die Haube geht straff, aber noch gut über den Kopf. Bei Temperaturen von -5° und einer Geschwindigkeit von über 40km/h ist sie ausreichend. Warm ist was anderes, aber man friert nicht ;-) Durch die Luftlöcher vor dem Mund kann man bequem atmen und der Nasenschutz mit Öffnung ist auch sehr sinnvoll. Dadurch beschlägt die Brille kaum. Wenn es richtig kalt ist, dann empfiehlt sich noch eine wärmere Helmunterziehmütze darüber. Dafür kann die Haube aber auch noch bei leichten Plusgraden verwendet werden, wenn der Fahrtwind dann doch recht kalt im Gesicht wäre. Weiterer positiver Punkt. Sie ist ausreichend lang geschnitten, so dass sie problemlos über ein Stehkragen Trikot geht und auch dort durch Überlapp dem Wind keine Chance bietet zum eindringen. Wie schon anfangs geschrieben... ich bin begeistert :-)
