Great quality
I always use Quicksilver parts on my boat, especially the Bellows kits. They fit as expected and since I keep my boat in the water all year, I sleep good at night knowing that I have these Bellows on my boat and it will be floating when I get to the dock.

Best to use OEM grade components for Transom Drive Seal repair & replace
I made the mistake of purchasing a low cost "economy " kit of seals, bellows and components when I overhauled my MerCruiser Alpha One Gen 2 outdrive 2 years ago. This summer I open my engine compartment to find that it was full of water. When I examined the outdrive, I found that the Shift Boot had torn, allowing water to stream in through the transom. I also noticed cracks in the Exhaust and Drive Shaft Bellows. I was advised to purchase a Quicksilver kit which is OEM grade. Much more expensive but much higher quality and longevity. I also noticed a host of superior details over the inexpensive kit: The water transfer hose is molded to the correct shape to fit in the Bell Housing in the OEM level kit. The inexpensive kit's water hose is just a standard piece of hose that is more prone to collapsing. The hose clamp grounding straps on the OEM kit are riveted to the Bellows so that they cannot fall off during installation. The straps that come with the economy kit are separate and have a tendency to fall off during Bellow installation. This can effect the integrity of final joint strength especially as the glue will be compromised by repeated removal and install in attempting to get the straps to stay in place. You only have to have one premature failure using a inexpensive kit to justify the extra cost of the OEM level kit.My suggestion is to resist the urge to save money up front and invest in this better quality kit.

Great Product
This is a factory product (quicksilver is part of Mercury Marine Inc.). Kit comes with everything and is good quality. The bearing is a perma-lube style and the kit came with the plug to replace the old grease fitting. Also the bearing in my kit was SKF brand which in my opinion are the best bearings on the planet. The water hose is pre- bent which is nice for install. The only down side is the fact that the exhaust bellow is short when new and hard to stretch on the drive unit but that's just how it is. Price is awesome, would've cost twice as much to by separately at local marine shop. I would definitely by this kit again if needed.

Proper OEM parts
Bellows are a tough job. Always worth getting the OEM parts. Order some glue and the tools and get after it. I don’t love the new sealed bearing design but it’s the standard these days. Comes with the slug for the grease zerk so not much to complain about, just prefer to grease things despite it being an older concept.

Quicksilver Gimbal Bearing Kit
I ordered this kit because my gimbal bearing was bad on my 1996 Baja Islander 180. I wanted to install a sealed bearing vs grease. I also wanted an OEM bearing, gaskets, and bellows. Although this kit was significantly more expensive than the aftermarket kits, I know that the parts will fit correctly including the main water supply hose that is molded with the correct curves vs. a straight piece of hose. After I installed the bearing and started the engine, I could tell right away how much quieter the drivetrain was. All I heard was the engine and nothing else. As far as removal and installation went, I rented an axle puller with slide hammer from OReilly's Auto. The bearing came out with no issues. I put the new bearing in the freezer for a couple of hours and it went back into place with no issues.

Won't fit Gen 1
Drive bellows is too small on one side. Had to order another kit and spend more money as I already installed most of the other parts.
