So Impressive!
It’s mini but mighty! I use my toaster oven for a lot of things, but to save counter space I have to store it in the cupboard and haul it out every time I want to use it. I was looking for something that would go with my retro microwave and was small enough (and cute enough) to keep on the counter. This fits the bill, and the cooking ability is impressive. I used to use the broiler setting on my old toaster oven all the time, and the other different cook settings. I assumed a simple one-temperature gadget wouldn’t be as good — but simpler seems to be much better! So far I have cooked chicken fingers, hot dogs, french fries, mini tacos, and french toast sticks, and they all came out tasting better than they ever did in the traditional toaster oven. I didn’t defrost the chicken fingers, but the ice melted and didn’t leave a pool of water in the tray like with my old toaster; they just cooked up warm and crispy in about 8 minutes. I ditched my old toaster oven after a week of using this. Two points however — it only cooks a very small amount of food at a time, which is fine for me but might not be for everyone. It’s also so small it only has a timer dial, no temperature control. Again, this is fine for me and I think cuts down on the chances of messing something up by having too many knobs and dials. Also, I’m a minimalist, so I was thrilled to replace my old toaster with something so small that doesn’t have to be stored between uses. I was skeptical when I bought it, but this is a 10/10 for me!

Cutest little toaster
Let's keep it real, it's a tiny toaster, like one slice of bread size. But it's great for so many things, especially for kids. Here's what you can make, toast and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, toast mini bagels (these things don't go well in a traditional toaster cuz they get stuck), cook frozen french fries, pizza bagels, pizza bites, tater tots, mochi, and so much more. Yes there is no temperature control, you are stuck at the 400° temperature, however there is a time control so that means, it takes less time to cook, than it would've in the oven. It's simply something that you just have to kind of play with until you are 100% pro at using it. I would suggest that you keep an eye on it, we found for pizza bites the bag says they need to cook for 15 minutes in oven, in the toaster mini oven it really cooks in 8 minutes. Which for us that's even better because when you have hungry kids and they want different things this little toaster oven will cook it real fast. If you're just going to toast some basic bread keep it on a one or two time level, because it toasts really quickly and it can burn very easily if you're not watching, not to say that the toaster itself will catch any kind of fire, I'm saying it Cooks so fast.

Does A Good Job!
I was looking for a small toaster oven that could be used with my solar battery, and had my eye on this one for quite some time. I knew when I ordered it that it was not the end-all-to-end-all of toaster ovens, but it does do a surprisingly good job for its size. We have been using it every day since we received it and are very happy with it. My DH loves hot dogs and has been cooking them in this. The microwave causes the hotdogs to explode, but this little oven cooks them perfectly. Also, the night before I had cooked hamburger patties of which zi had two left over. I wrapped them in foil and put them in this cute oven, wound the timer to its full extent. The burgers came out steaming hot, and much better than nuking them in the microwave. Of course, it toasts bread beautifully -- even large slices of homemade bread, toaster pastries, anything that is fairly flat. This cute little guy gets up to 400 degrees, and only 400 degrees -- nothing more and nothing less. It is important to keep food at a distance from the upper burner to keep the food from burning. I have several Dash appliances and this little toaster oven is like them in that it cooks better with thawed food as opposed to frozen. There are all kinds of ideas on how to use (and not use) this very cute little oven. I can recommend Counter Cooking on YouTube. Who does "cute" appliances better than Dash? Also, not only are they cute, but they work! My next experiment for this toaster oven is thawed, flat chicken patties. One more recommendation would be to cover the enclosed baking pan with foil.

very pretty. But everything you put in it will burn before it cooks well.
It looks like a toy and in a way it is. Because it is so small that it does not fit many things in it or practically only fits one thing, it does not regulate the temperature, it only regulates by time. So if you want to heat a bread it would not be recommended because you can burn it very easily. The resistance is very close to the level of the grate so it can heat a product very quickly before it can be cooked. It heats up quickly and is very close to the food so it can burn it easily. I think that if the temperature could be controlled a little or one of the resistors could be eliminated so that it would not generate as much heat, it would be more suitable to be able to use it on different foods without them burning so quickly. I wanted it because it was small and looked very nice to put in the kitchen, but I don't think it has much usability.I knew what to expect when I bought it and I bought it mostly because of how pretty it looked. But I knew I was going to have a problem with the temperature. So if you plan to buy it to do small things or heat food, it is better to heat it with another appliance and not with this because it will burn you.

Basically an Easy-Bake Oven with a Light as a Heating Element
This Dash Mini Toaster Oven is super cute and perfect for tiny snacks like bread, bagels, or reheating pizza. It’s basically like a grown-up Easy-Bake Oven—using a light bulb as the heating element, so it takes longer to cook than a regular oven.Great for dorm rooms or small kitchens if you want something simple and compact. Not ideal if you’re in a hurry, but it does the job for small batches with minimal fuss.
