Great book with well thought out exercises.

I've used this for years. Unfortunately, I loaned out my last copy and forgot who had it. I called an old friend of mine who always has several extra copies and borrowed one. This one or two I reordered to be sure I had extras. My advice to you, dear reader, is to stock up on them now. They're cheap and extremely effective.

Sono insegnante d'inglese e traduttrice, uso questo libro insieme al Telephone English per insegnare inglese nelle aziende e lo trovo molto ben fatto, ben strutturato, con esercizi tutti incentrati sulle mail. Le stesse parole si ripetono per tantissime pagine, sempre con esercizi diversi e molto vari. Lo uso da 2 mesi e gli alunni si ricordano già quasi tutto e riescono a scrivere email in inglese in maniera indipendente, avevano un livello A2 quando abbiamo iniziato. Per l'insegnante ottimo ausilio (non c'è il cd, sono solo esercizi scritti e non ci sono le soluzioni) e non serve preparare molto per la lezione. Lo abbino a un buon libro di grammatica - English File A2/B1. È adatto a partire da un livello A2. Va bene anche per chi studia da solo, ma più che altro per avere riferimenti di come scrivere le mail - non ci sono le soluzioni. Really great book to teach email writing, no keys included, so I only recommend it if you work with a teacher or, if you don't and still want to see good and varied examples of email English, it might be a good option anyways. I love the fact that the same words and sentences repeat over and over in different exercises and over many units till you've learnt them by heart. Only written exercises on emails, correcting mistakes in sentences, completing emails or writing new ones, formal and informal writing differences and examples + rewriting emails in a more formal or informal way, conjunctions and how to use them, abbreviations and much more. It's a complete book and I'd love to find something like this for the other languages I teach, but so far I've only found it in English. Highly recommended and I also recommend Telephone English!
