RIDGID 47745 Threading Machine Dies, Right-Handed Alloy NPT Pipe Dies with Nominal Pipe Size of 1/2-Inch to 3/4-Inches, Compatble with Universal Die Heads

Cuts threads, threaded probably 100 joints so far, all have been good except where it was operator error on setting die head

One of the die did NOT fit in the slot. Amazon is NOT an authorized Ridgid dealer. Although die set came in what appeared to be standard Ridgid packaging, die #1 was slightly oversized and bound when cap screws holding 811a head together were tightened. Purchased this set for an upcoming project that got delayed a few weeks. When I put these in the 811a head, the #1 die didn't slide like the other 3 but didn't realize there was a problem until I started threading pipe. After several boogered up threads, went to hand threading to finish job. After job was over, disassembled head to discover the #1 die didn't slide/fit properly. Purchased new set from authorized dealer and they all slide and fit properly and don't booger up the threads. Attempted to return to Amazon but past the 1 month return policy. Contacted Ridgid (per customer service (per Amazon recommendation) to discover Amazon ISN'T an authorized Ridged dealer and, therefore Ridgid wouldn't honor warranty. Now I'm out $140, some 3/4" pipe, and a bunch of time.

if you are going to use a pipe threader only the best will do and that is ridged,quality is unsurpassed ,priced right

Out of the box, the threading experience is excellent. Did not realize how dull old dies were. Great product

Replacement dies for Ridgid power threader. Cuts clean thread on pipe.

Not a good quality tool, maybe the cheap alloy for a hundred bucks is expected to be this quality. Upon arrival, #4 die has already gotten a chipped tooth. In a urgent needs, no choice for return, already opened the dies to use.

Finest quality. If you want the real thing Ridgid is it. Cheap knock offs don't come close to measuring up.
