Amazing tool!
Worked great for my 2 long haired aussies! When the weather started to get warmer they were losing clumps so badly and my other brush was just covering the top layer. This one got nice and deep and got all that excess hair out. They also loved it which isn’t morning for them. I have the vacuum grooming kit and for me I loved because it sucked up the hair as I brushed it but they started hating it and running to their kennels as soon as I pulled it out so I knew I needed something else. This was amazing for them. I love the doubled sided feature that allows one side to get in deep and then flip it over to get any excess. My house isn’t filled with floating hair everyday and my pups are mush happier!

Best grooming tool
I love this tool for grooming my dogs and cats. Works at de-shedding and getting those hard to brush out mats. Fits my hand perfectly and it's easy to clean out the tool. Great product, worth the money.

It is amazing and my cat loves it almost as much as treats!
A friend recommended this to me. She said all of her animals want to be first when she gets it out. I wasn't buying that...but I am a believer now. At first my little guy wasn't interested but it got so much hair off of him that as soon as he sees it now he is impatiently waiting. It works extremely well and I have a happy cat!

A Good Addition to your grooming kit
A nice addition to my grooming supplies. It’s made very well and works as described. It does tend to pull the hair when trying to work out a mat, which made my dogs yelp, and the mat gets caught in the teeth; which is why I gave 4 stars because it’s literally made for working out mats. I still recommend it and will continue to use it on my Cockapoo and Golden Doodle.

The only dog/cat brush you’ll need
The only brush that truly gets the job done. We use it on both our Lab and our cat, and we’re already on our second Maxpower Grooming Rake. It removes the undercoat and an unbelievable amount of loose hair. One tip: because it’s so effective, use it outside—or keep a vacuum nearby if you’re in a colder climate. Also, wear clothes you’re planning to wash. The amount of hair it pulls out is no joke. Second tip: since it’s designed to grab excess hair, be gentle. I use a light detangling conditioner on our Lab beforehand. If the coat is dirty or dry, the rake can snag slightly, so take your time to avoid any discomfort. Overall: 5/5. This brush absolutely does what it’s supposed to do.

Gets out tons of hair that normal brushes miss
This grooming rake works incredibly well. I bought it for my dog who has a thick coat and sheds constantly, and I was amazed at how much loose hair it pulled out the first time I used it. It gets deep into the undercoat and removes hair that a regular brush completely misses. It’s also very easy to hold and feels sturdy, not flimsy like some grooming tools I’ve tried. After just a few minutes of brushing, there was a huge amount of loose hair removed and my dog’s coat looked much smoother. If you have a dog or cat that sheds a lot or gets mats in their fur, this tool is definitely worth getting. It really does a great job pulling the loose hair out.

Great Grooming Tool — A Must for Long-Coated Dogs
The Maxpower Planet Original Pet Grooming Rake was recommended to us by our dog groomer, and it has been a game changer. It’s easy to use, lightweight, and really does a great job at tackling tangles, undercoat, and shedding. We’ve definitely noticed less hair around the house, which is a huge win. Tool is easy to clean. Our dog isn’t the biggest fan of the daily brushing before our walks, but with her long coat, it’s a must—and this tool makes the process much more manageable. For anyone dealing with heavy shedding or long fur, this rake is a no‑brainer. Highly recommend!

My guy loves to be combed, however he is very sensitive to pulls
My Raggy has very long fur (4") most everywhere and as he loves to be combed, although he is very sensitive to any sort of pulling on his skin. As you can imagine it takes a lot to keep him groomed , especially with 1-2 minute grooming sessions as that is mostly all he allows. My previous Raggy loved getting groomed and his favorite comb was a greyhound comb (long metal with wide teeth on half and skinny on the other), but I was wondering if there might be something out there that would work better with this guy and I came across this grooming rake. The package was incredibly easy to open and the item is 6 3/4" long and the rake part is 2 3/4" wide. My guy jumped up on his perch and preceded to make biscuits while I ran the widely spaced side (for detangling) all along one side of him. I have to say that I really was amazed with the amount of fur that was coming off him (especially since I'd combed him 2x already during the week)!! This particular Ragdoll has what my neighbor referred to as "cotton candy" fur as opposed to the more silky fur my previous Raggy had... so I'm not sure if this was the cause of a lot of the removed hair floating all over and clinging to my arms and legs, honestly I've never had that happen while combing a cat. I've included a photo of most of the fur that came off (as some of it floated all around) in that session. Oddly enough, my Raggy didn't look less fluffy after his grooming session, perhaps in a couple of weeks of continued grooming I'll notice the difference. The comb itself is pretty easy to clean, although there isn't much hair that collects in the teeth (hair does cling all over the handle though). I'm not sure if it is just my Raggy, but every time I've used this on him the hair floats all over the room and clings to my arms and legs... not sure why because I live in the PNW and I don't usually have an issue with static with anything else. It's comfortable to use and the side with many teeth works well to grab the loose hair that seems to come out of the cat but not get caught in the wider teeth. This is the first summer that my Raggy rescue has been here, so I'm not entirely sure how his summer shed is supposed to go, but perhaps once I can get through that I will know more how effective this rake will be on a regular schedule. Update: This comb definitely did the trick for getting my Ragdoll's undercoat under control, but I definitely have to comb him right after with the greyhound comb to get all the tuffs of fur off because they really don't gather in this comb and still float all over everything unless I want to see the biggest hairballs on the floor. I definitely won't be using this comb much except during the summer shed (if it's ever as bad as this one, which I'm thinking had to do with how little he got combed previously as he had a bunch of mats when i got him as it can be hard to comb a biter).

I thought the furminator was good but this rake is AMAZING. I have two dogs, both 100lbs. One has such a heavy undercoat that the shedding is non-stop - I could go all day with the furminator. This tool has taken all the heavy undercoat out in record time. AND my dog doesn't mind it at all which is unusual. My other dog is short hair and I didn't think I'd get anything out of him but I did! The 'ruffle' of fur around his nape is now gone and he sits so nice and lifts his head for this tool. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who has a dog that sheds! Oh, and the bonus is that their fur is so shiny and soft afterwards. No more dander.

Very good
P**.
