Everything thr high priced pair does and so much more - but for so much less!
I have Macular Degeneration. At the current stage of the malady strong reding lasses take care of close up work, but seeing all aspects of images on the Big Screen TV require something else. The visuals ten to fifteen feet away distance requires a simple telescopic lens - one over each eye. After having been analyzed for glasses that would look like what eh surgeons on Grey's and New Amsterdam wear (that would cost around $2,500.00, I decided to see what Amazon might have available and bought the TV reader glasses by Eschenbach ($189.00). With these glasses on, I found the clarity of the screen image to now be clear, but with a very narrow field-of-vision and the need of readjusting them each time I put them on. With TV’s both upstairs and down, it seemed to make sense to have two pairs of telescopic TV glasses, but two times $189.00 was going to stretch my budget just bit too far...so I looked further and found these glasses that obviously work on the same principal as the Eschenbach’s but at a fraction of the cost. I figured I’d try them and... WOW! These glass work as well as the expensive pair, have a slightly wider clear field-of-vision, hold their adjustment from use to use...and look just a dorky as the high-priced pair! I like these so much that I’ve already ordered second pair – right after I set up a return of the Eschenbach’s. Full discloser though: when these glasses arrived, the adjustment wheel was in the box separate from the glasses themselves. That only required aligning the center plastic shaft up with the receiving hole in the glasses arm and pressing it firmly in-place. Now, no matter how small the print is on the TV screen: I can read it...!

Poor quality optics
These glasses do work, but if you wear regular glasses, you will likely need to remove them in order to wear these telephoto glasses. These glasses have focus adjustments to compensate for your prescription if needed. If your vision is very poor, the focus adjustment might not be able to compensate. The optics of these glasses are about the same one would expect from the prize out of a cereal box. Very poor. You have to tilt your head and move your eyes to get around bad spots. If they would improve the optics, these would be great. I can sit about 10 feet away from the TV and read the fine print on all those drug commercials and read how sick they will make me.

They don't work
These "glasses "were overly expensive and had zero positive effect. I mean they were useless. They didn't improve my ability to see the TV at all. As I said These were a very expensive piece of plastic. They were not even a novelty as they had no positive effect. They were a total failure and waste of money and hope. My advice is to go to a optometrist get a prescription and buy glasses. True that is expensive but you can actually see unlike this product.

Helpfull
Makes it so I can fee faces, etc., but still not strong enough to read the menu. Maybe just my eyes. Great to see what's going on and to recognize faces.

Great for TV
I recently cut the cord & some of the streaming services use such small font even with my regular glasses I cannot read the font to know what I am ordering or seeing.. Originally I had purchased a pair of binoculars but found them to be too cumbersome for what I needed.. These glasses are exactly what I needed & definitely do the job for this senior.. Love them & can recommend them to others...

not for viewing at distances over 15 feet from TV
Positives : Low price, provides some help in seeing small print at distances under 15 feet Negative: At distances over 15 feet I found them impossible to focus. The image is in focus only is a small area of vision. This may be common to all such products but I have experience with only these.

Works, but narrow field of vision
This works as adveertised and may be of some use, but the field of vision is very narrow. It does not cover the width of the TV screen that I intended to watch using this binocular. I wanted to be able to read text and subtitles on my TV. That it can do, but I have to turn my head from side to side to catch an entire phrase. I realize a wider field of vision would result in heavier lens and therefore be more uncomfortable, but that would be a good trade-off for me.

Great product
Bought this product for my mother who has macular degeneration. Has not been able to focus on the TV for months. This has brought her joy as she can now enjoy her programs and see the faces on the screen. She does say they get a little heavy after awhile but she takes them off for 10-15 minutes and then is able to resume watching TV.
