I notice a mental clarity with these that cuts through the brain fog of tiredness that makes me feel much less run down after never getting sleep due to working full time and being a student. I take as a daily supplement one every morning. Helps with taking tests and high-brain function activities like accounting and physics. It’s not a miracle cure, I just do notice the difference when compared to when I don’t take it. One of the few supplements I can say that about as a person in a perpetual state of tiredness. I think most non-amino acid supplements are just hopes and placebos. Not this. This is an amino acid made for better direct brain absorption by being engineered to cross the blood-brain barrier faster. The regular L-carnitine is for feeding mitochondria in cells and is slower working. Don’t overdo it with these. Though they are considered “safe,” that is only in moderation. They can feel similar to caffeine but stay in your system much longer. They can make your breath stink, your skin stink and your urine stink if you take too much. Pay close attention to any weird side effects you might feel like headaches or nausea or sweating and adjust the dose or discontinue altogether . This is a real chemical that your body makes naturally but these are a much higher amount engineered to be absorbed into your brain much quicker than the natural process. Ignoring the signs of intolerance can have real ramifications on your health.

Llevo un tiempo probando la Acetil L-Carnitina (ALCAR) de Horbaach y, sinceramente, lo que más me llamó la atención fue que no es la carnitina común que solo se usa para "quemar grasa". Relación Calidad-Precio: Horbaach suele ofrecer botes con bastantes servicios (como el de 1500 mg o 2000 mg por porción), lo que sale mucho más a cuenta que otras marcas de farmacia. Puntos a tener en cuenta: Ojo con las cápsulas: La etiqueta dice 1500 mg, pero fíjate bien porque esa es la dosis por servicio (que suelen ser 2 o 3 cápsulas), no por cada pastilla individual. Digestión: Si tienes el estómago sensible, mejor tómala con un poco de comida. A veces, si la tomo en ayunas, me da una ligera acidez.

50 years old, moderate to heavy lifter and advanced yoga practitioner. Never really got too sore in my younger years but bodies change. I started lifting again about a year ago and was getting super sore, way more than I ever did before, and I couldn't be happier with how this helps with recovery. Def works because I've stopped a few times to see how I recover without it. I wouldn't be able to lift as heavy as I am without it. (I don't think I've ever give a supp five starts, not even creatine hcl.)

Good if you take them in the time you bought them. I didn’t take them for months, and somehow they melted, they were storages good with other pills and vitamins. The others were ok, but this one weren’t.

Lo tomo todas las mañanas con el estómago vacío desde hace 2 meses y, yo si veo resultados, tengo más energía y la pérdida de peso ha sido mucho más fácil. Lo recomiendo muchísimo, no son baratas pero valen cada peso.

This Acetyl L-Carnitine 1000 mg 200 Capsules pack is preferred to the over the counter capsules which are typically 500mg. This lower dose is inconvenient for damaged nerve treatments. Of course you still need to buy other supplements (like vitamin b12, b6, inositol, lipoic acid etc.) if you want the best chance of recovering from a nerve injury.
