I purchased this organic version and another that is not labeled organic. This organic version is a product of Japan; the non-organic version is a product of Thailand. The taste difference is very subtle between the two. I ended up preferring this organic version produced in Japan.

There are three different bottling plants for this brand of tea. This particular tea is brewed and bottled in Japan. It is organic and has less sodium than the the other two options. This is our go to choice for bottled green tea.

Within the last few years, the regular, non-organic Oi Ocha was changed; it is now a product of Thailand instead of Japan, and the bottle is much flimsier. It is still good, but I remember the old version of the product tasting slightly better. I bought this version when it happened to be the same price as the regular (~$17.50), and it seems to be very much like the old Oi Ocha. This is a product of Japan with the more sturdy bottle. I would recommend getting this instead of the regular Oi Ocha if the prices are similar (within a few dollars), but the difference isn't worth the current $27.83 price tag.

Its clearly high quality. But a little strong for my American pallette lol

I've tried this tea at some Japanese restaurants and fell in love instantly. The tea is great. The package was damaged. The delivery person just dropped it ion our lawn. Even the box inside split open. I thinkbit was dropped with some force!

this is one of the few ito en green tea that is made in japan. tastes good too.other ito en teas are made in SE Asia or Taiwan. Usually fine as well. Occasionally not as good as the bottle plastic can have odors.
